broken hearts

Shannon: I looked around one time before I headed out of the building once I was absolutely sure no one was in there. I made sure Sterling got out as well before I took us far enough away in case the building collasped. I started to cough some more, trying to get the soot(sp?) out of my lungs.

Sterling:" are you okay Shannon?" I said as I still coughing

Shannon: "Yeah, but I've been better, are you okay?" I asked between coughs.

Sterling:" I'm worry but other then that I'm fine"

Shannon: I nodded in agreement as I looked at the building ablaze. I didn't really notice how much damage it had until now. For some reason, I started to feel lightheaded, and I closed my eyes, hoping the dizziness would pass quickly.

Sterling: I warp my arm around her " are you sure okay?"

Shannon: I shook my head slowly, "I-I don't know." I answered quietly. I wasn't sure what was wrong, and that scared me.

Sterling:" is there a way I can help"

Shannon: "No, there isn't, at least I don't think so." I murmured, and opened my eyes, even though I still wasn't feeling well. I glanced at Sterling, and then the fire. I sincerely hoped everyone was all right. I thought a moment, "How could a fire start when no one was apparently there?" I wondered aloud.

Sterling:" I don't know Shannon"

Shannon: "I don't either, Sterling." Maybe it was just an accident...or arson. I couldn't decide which.

Sterling:" I just hope that we don't have trouble again"

Shannon: "I do too." I said almost blankly before I looked around. "I wonder if that did happen...who would want to start anything."

Sterling:" not sure Shannon"

Shannon: My dizziness reduced a little bit, and I looked away from the flames to Sterling. I asked him silently since I thought I had talked too much, 'Should we stay here just in case, or...?'

Sterling:" we should look for everyone"

Shannon: "All right, Sterling, where should we start?"

Sterling:" around here first "

Shannon: I nodded slightly, "Okay.". Then I started to look, walking next to Sterling.

Sterling; as we walk around I kept my eyes out for anyone so know they are at least safe

Shannon: I let out a small sigh, but I still continued to look around for anybody now. At least someone.

Sterling; I hope everyone is okay

Shannon: I glanced at Sterling, slightly doubtful we would find anyone, let alone anyone we knew. I finally heard some sirens blaring in the distance. Too late for that though. I hoped no one assumed we started the fire since we were apparently the only ones around.

Sterling:" I hate that I don't know that they are okay "

Shannon: I had to try to be optimistic for once in my life, "Well, they weren't back there, so they must be all right."
