CHARACTER CHAT!!!!

Sanae
I give a small smile at him. "I'd tell you, but I can't look into the past as easily. Sort of...trying to wade against the river of time."

"Poetic," Finn muttered, trying to think way far back. The last memory he had was of waking up in the lowlands with damp clothes. Cricket said he'd found him half-drowned after some small civil war between the two sides of Luna, though he couldn't tell which side he'd been on. He'd almost died alongside the fish in the canals. Hence the name. 'Fin'n.

Sanae
"Sort of, I suppose," i say, my voice fading into the darkness that surrounds the dim little circle we have.

Finn snapped out of his thoughts with a smile. "But 'ey, who cares about th' past? Can't change it, may as well look forward, am I right?"

Sanae
I nod. "That's what the currents think, certainly." I twirl my feather in my fingers. "What's the weapon up to these days? It seems different now."

"Oh, not much...fighting a split personality, trying not t' get caught by whatever force that's been after us for a while now, puzzling too much over emotions."

Sanae
"Still warring." I shake my head with an amused smile. "Humans amaze me..."

Yknow what has occured to me? Develyn has vanished into thin air. I think she was left behind in the us xD

"Thanks?" Finn smirked, his head cocking further in a doggy way. "Natural-born human 'ere."

Sanae
I chuckle. "You don't remember, how should you know?" I quiz slyly. "But yes. As far as I know, the only non humans on this planet are Mo, I, and the experiments at 51."

Finn smiled. "Thanks friend, I was starting t' feel outnumbered. What with th' powers and complicated backgrounds...y'get t' wondering if you're th' only normal one." His smile faded a little. Six billion others that were 'normal' like him. It got boring being normal.

actually seven billion now.

Sanae
I chuckle. "And you? Do you like Ayakashi?"

REALLY??? ...wow, we're worse than mice in spring. Get a few together and *poof* we've got a few extra million on our hands!

"Ayakashi? No. Ami's a'right, though she's got a bit of growing up t' do. Can't blame 'er though."

Sanae
"Is there a difference? They have the same nature," I say softly, leaning back and looking at him blankly.

Finn whistled something and dropped to sit on the edge of the stage. "Aaaaah aye, there's a small bit of difference. Ayakashi is t' Ami as a shark is t' a guppy."

Sanae
My wings bristle, i look away. "Ayakashi is not afraid to show what she really is. This Ami of yours is more like a tiger or lion. Blending into the background to get close and then strike."

"Strike what? A bunch of random kids in a place no one 'as ever heard of? If she's smart enough t' play nice for so long without looking suspicious, she'd be smart enough t' pick better targets. I mean, really, do I look all that valuable t' you? Guys on th' street don't even bother t' mug me." He held his hands up in a 'what-can-I-say' type of motion.

Sanae
I close my eyes with a small smile. "Maybe she won't discriminate. She has a desire to kill unlike any other desire she may have. She calls it Ayakashi, but truthfully it's simply her nature. One nature. One personality. She simply gets lost in that desire and names that Ayakashi." I chuckle. "Like getting drunk. You do not act yourself, but it is still you."

Finn shrugged. "One nature or not, she should 'ave picked better targets. And, wait a moment, what's th' story? How do you know 'er?"

Sanae
"It is not hard to understand a weapon when my entire civilization destroyed themselves in war. One target, one mission. That's why I came here, looking for a place without that. Instead i find a place where they engineer a fellow being to be that weapon." I close my eyes. "Shall we say...we didn't get off on the right foot." My feather cuts my thumb, quick as a razor blade and with no pain. "In a way...because of this" I twirl my feather at him. "I can understand her more than any of you."

Finn gently took the feather, and opened his hand to see a red line sliced across his fingers where the it had touched. His brow furrowed. "Ow." After a pause, "Well, blame th' people, not th' creation."

Sanae
"I do," i say, standing up again, my wings flairing out slightly. "She is a being, therefore she chooses to kill." I take my feather back. "As with any murderer with a gun. She chooses to. It is that choice that can turn anyone into a weapon, like with my people."

Finn studied his hand again. "Touche. So if you're th' expert, did engineering 'ave anything t' do with th' fact that she likes t' kill?"

Sanae
"Serial killers like to kill and they weren't engineered," i say. "Everyone has some drive in them. Perhaps they forced her to embrace it but she still doesn't have to. You held the gun and Cricket fired. You chose to kill. You wanted to, to protect those around you. Didn't that satisfy you, to see the threat gone?" I smile slightly.

Finn winced inwardly. That was a new view on things...he didn't remember making the decision, but somewhere in the inner debate over life and killing he'd found himself with a trigger underneath his finger. And then Red Wing was gone...he'd killed before, some to save himself and some for Cricket, though Cricket was clueless. But he'd never felt a thing when it happened. Just numbness. "I didn't like it," he said.

Sanae
"But you like your friends alive. So you liked protecting them. So you killed. Logic concludes you would get satisfaction out of it. Not strong enough for the word 'like' perhaps, but maybe 'in favor for'." She smiles at his expression.
