CHARACTER CHAT!!!!

Sparrow:
Okay, I may not be Einstein or nothin but I could tell it's been well over an hour. Where was Milo? He told me to meet him right here, didnt he? I got to my feet and walked to the end of the corridor, looked left, looked right, looked back.
"Milo?" I called. I started down the next hallway, then upon hearing a voice, jogged down, made a left, and came face to face with a kitchen.
"Oh." Ami and Milo.
"Uh-" Um.
I didn't want to sound stupid by doing that really cliche and awkward "Hi.." So instead, "You fixed your hair!" Fell out of my mouth.

Milo smiles at Sparrow and lays his hand on Ami's shoulder giving her a friendly shake "You were the one who messed it up in the first place." he teased.

Annaleah blushed a little, though she tried to hide it. "We...well...yes," she said, and then added quickly, "and it's no smooth road, mind you." But worth it? The strand of hair fell out of place again as though of it's own accord. She continued cautiously, tenderly. "But what is? It seems to me that what you're talking about doesn't happen in similar cases, if we're talking about the same thing. But we've all felt it, one way or another. Haven't we, now?"

Sparrow:
Slightly reassured by his warm smile, I smiled back but refused to move forward. "It was your stupid idea. I'm just an accessory to the crime" I winked trying not to be so bristled.

Ami
I laugh a little, smile still not what it was. "I just needed confirmation..." I murmur. And Sparrow... I glance over to the door.

Wisp
"Not all of us," i murmur, thinking back to 51 and the rows of cages. The rows of experiments just waiting to die. Already dead, you could see it in their eyes, but still living on. "But yes...Ayakashi and I are...different..."

"Ayakashi?" Annaleah asked, tilting her head to the side. Her eyes glinted curiously.

Sparrow:
Me and Ami made eye contact. She looked unsure, and I didnt blame her. I still hadnt apologized for attacking her at Angel's house. But watching the way she draped her arms all over him so freely, I wasnt sure I wanted to anymore.
I gave her a small nod. That was the most I could muster in that moment.

Wisp
"Ah...Ami," i say, remembering. "She named herself. That's her codename; like me being Wisp. Something 51 called her." A name...was there some sort of power behind it? No one at 51 had their names exposed to us experiments. Always 'Director' or 'Scientist' or 'Guard'. Never any names...

Ami
I take the small step back again, looking down at my fidgeting hands again. How to say it... Just out with it or hint at it...? "I'm...I'm sort of ill...not at the moment but..." I bite my lip

"No you didn't." Milo said sternly to Ami the corners of his mouths turning up a bit, let her mull over that awhile. "Sorry I made you wait," Milo said putting his hands up in a Yeah-I-Know-I-Messed-Up expresson "I guess you want to go now."

Annaleah smiled. "Ah, Cricket told me about her..." she looked away thoughtfully for a moment. What was a name, anyhow? Just a title, or a symbol, or did it become part of oneself? Her eyes fluttered back to Wisp. "Do you have a name? Other than Wisp, I mean."

Sparrow:
"No, please." I said, a hint of an edge to my voice. "I understand if you have more important things to do." I put my hands up in a signal of peace with a small smile, and my eyes flickered towards Ami for no more than a second.

Wisp
I shake my head in answer. "Is it necessary?" I ask hesitantly. Could I come up with a name? I didn't know many...

Annaleah laughed a little. "Well, I don't think so...but around here, I have a feeling you'll recieve one whether you like it or not."

Wisp
I blink confused. "Oh," i simply say. What had happened to my mask? It completely crumbles around this girl... Cricket wouldn't like me around her, would he? I chew the inside of my cheek, slightly bothered by the whole thing.

Milo lingered a moment "No, I think Ami has heard what she needed to." He looked down at the girl who was at least two heads shorter than him, doing his best to communicate that he wasn't leaving her, that he wa going to come back.

>.< *cough* last thing that Ami said *cough*

Ami
A trustworthy look, sort of affectionate. I glance away. Unheard, maybe? Had I been so afraid to say something it hadn't come out? "I have to leave...just for a little while. I'll come back..." I try again. This might be so much more easier without Sparrow... Milo accepts while Sparrow labels people....

"What do you mean leave?" Why did he feel like she didn't mean a short excursion?

Annaleah's smile faded a tad as she felt Wisp grow more uncomfortable. She shyed away another inch, hating the silence again. She didn't seem dangerous...why did Cricket hate her so much? Either Wisp had another side to her, or he was trying to protect people...himself, herself, and Wisp, maybe. That's what he tended to do, push people away so no one got hurt. She should know. But Annaleah didn't want to make any enemies. She'd been feeling lonely, after all. "Well, I don't quite get the entire meaning of it, but stay around and you'll find that very seldom does a Lowlander ask one's name. If they do, and they don't like the answer, they'll rename you. Simple as that."

math homework...prolly be back again soon. :/

Ami
I take a breath, somewhat frustrated at the situation. "I....um...." I purse my lips. "Aiden. I need to go meet Aiden for something..."

Wisp
That...didn't clear much up. "Oh," I say again, giving a small smile. "Sorry. I - I'm...not...I don't get it, but I suppose I'll find out..."

Sparrow:
I stood awkwardly in the background. I leaned against the side of the kitchen archway, glaring down the hall, miffed. It's was like if I was in the room, her mission was to take his attention. When was the last time I really got to sit down and talk to him? When we fought? That must have been days ago, if not weeks. Who knows anymore? My sense of time had been erased with my blackouts.

I refused to engage in her conversation, sure that she was now going to tell him about some noble reason why she must leave us all to spare us from something or some shit. BULLSHIT coughcough.

Annaleah studied her, then the corners of her mouth flitted up into a slight smile. "Aye...don't worry, a lot of things around here don't make sense to me, either."
