CHARACTER CHAT!!!!

"You're always off sulking somewhere." He answers smiling down at her in the cocky way he had a feeling she enjoyed.

Ami
I open my mouth slightly, sort of too frazzled for words. "You two can go if you really want to...I think I can deal with this...."

Sparrow:
"The correct term is moping," I grinned and elbowed him playfully. "C'mon," I tugged his arm towards the door. "Have fun!" I called back to Ami as we entered the hall.

Milo had a seconds thought about helping Ami, but really, what could he do other than stand there and try to sympathetic? "Do you really have to be so blunt?" Milo asked Sparrow fighting his mouth from turning upwards in the corners

Sparrow:
The hall was quiet. No creepy or dead quiet, just a nice soft natural quiet. It felt weird. Like we were on a different planet all of a sudden.
"Depends. Are you talking about my personality or me and Ami's little 'showdown'?"

"Both I guess. Are the seperable? I hadn't noticed." Milo teased roughly.

Sparrow:
I hip bumped him with a smile. "Well sure they are! I was blut to Ami cause she asked me to be. That was all in her hands. I'm not always blunt. Just when people are being stupid, which happens often around here,"

"I guess that explains why you treat me the way you do then." Milo joked in an overly dramatic breathy voice.

Sparrow:
I pushed his face away, my cheeks returning to a lemonade pink. "Stop it," I giggled. "Is it so wrong that I'm nice to you?"

Milo shrugs "Eh, I suppose that its bearable."

Sparrow:
"Oh thanks. Glad to see you enjoy my company so much." I said walking faster so I was in front of him.

Milo picked up his pace, skirting around Sparrow and walking backwards facing her. "You think I would have stuck around for so long if I didn't?" Milo raised an eye-brow "You're not as horrible as you'd like to beleive." suddenly he stopped so that Sparrow walked right into his arms. "Sorry." he murmured, resting his forehead on hers.

Sparrow:
I heisitated only a moment before wraping my arms around his torso and lacing my fingers at the small of his back. My cheek rested on the left side of his chest. "You're forgiven," I mumbled into his shirt.

I feel a laugh rumble in my chest "What a relief."

Sparrow:
I thought for a moment, "Milo, what's going on? I mean, really." I looked up at him, searching for his eyes through a snowfall of hair.

"To tell you the truth..." Milo shook his head, with the movement his hair and hers mixed together. It felt right, smooth, cool. "I don't know." Milo closed his eyes and took in a deep breath. It was thick with Sparrows scent. "This whole things been a blur."

Sparrow:
I sighed. Heart squish.
"Stupid question," I sighed, leaning my forehead against his chest so he wouldn't have to see me.

........monologing............

Ami
"People are just...like that sometimes, Wisp," i try, knowing it won't work. Knowing what will come n -
"Why?" She whispers, as i had expected. She pauses a moment before disappearing, blinking back into the room in the corner. Hands clasped behind her back, looking away with such a childish expression. I wonder if that's the way I look most of the time, or at least during the times i don't understand.
"Because..." How to explain this simply? Ugh, never mind, I'm no good at this... "Because of free will. The ability to make choices for ourselves, do what we want to do, get a personality."
"It's a fucking annoying personality," she says harshly.
I frown, my eyebrows knitting. "That's not nice to say..."
"I'll say what I want. Isn't that free will?" She glares at me, eyes flashing dangerously. So I suppose she's just got a developing shift in thought and not a totally new personality like i got. Is it bad to feel jealous about that?
"Yes, but it may insult people," i say calmly. "Wisp -"
"And wanting? That's free will too?" She interrupts. "Taking it? Does that fit in?"
I press my lips to a line, knowing I said the wrong thing explaining it. How Aiden avoided me ever going off on him I'll never know... "There are morals to what we can do with our will." Though she wouldn't accept it. I didn't accept it.
"Bullshit. No morals. Simply what we instinctively /know/ as wrong or right? No. Simply limits on what we should and shouldn't do. Like me..." She teleports in front of me, knife at my throat. "They say I should bring Ayakashi out. They say I should be loyal. I shouldn't ever leave. I shouldn't ever disobey."
I meet her eyes evenly. "But you have the choice of whether or not you want to follow those limits, or make your own limits." It was worded weird, but I hoped she would get it. I really didn't want to hurt her now. God knows grudges are held a long time when they form in that stage...
She meets my eyes, glaring angrily, frustrated, confused. "Bullshit..." Never a good combination of emotions. Eyes shining on the brink of tears.
"Gotta calm down or you'll lose control," i whisper, holding my hands up innocent. "I'm not the enemy, Wisp... I'm your sister, remember? No one's the enemy here..."
She looks away, guilt now clouding her eyes. She lowers her knife and lets it drop to the floor. The clang is loud on the floor, echoing in the empty room. "I want -"
"I know," i say softly. I didn't need the reminder of wanting from that one attachment we got. They engineered it so we got attached to whoever was in the chain of command, but why would that happen when they abused us and thought us as objects? I'm not human, but I'm definitely not an it. Though /I/ don't understand how she got co dependent with Cricket. He always acted like he didn't want anything to do with her.
So we just sort of stand there silently, Wisp hiding her eyes from me in her hair. That could have gone better, but it could have gone worse too, i suppose...
"I fucking hate you," she says suddenly, her voice thick with emotion, before disappearing again. I blinked, shocked again, unsure of why. Right so...I have swinging personalities but she has swinging moods. /This/ is cool...

Milo pulled Sparrow's head gently off his chest, and caressed her cheek with his thumb. "Tell me. What's wrong?"

Sparrow:
I held my eyelids shut, concentrating desperately on the way his thumb left little burning strokes across my skin. I looked up at him with resolve in my eyes.
"The guy I've been crushing on for weeks, who picks me up and dusts me off; the guy I'm absolutely crazy about and proabably my only friend in the world," I took a breath, the shadow of a sad smile resting on my lips. "Wants to be with someone else," I finished. "And your asking me what's wrong? You're smarter than that."

"You're right. I just needed to hear it from your mouth." As Milo said 'mouth' he brushed his thumb over Sparrows lips, hesitating in a way he knew would make an impatient girl like her crazy. "Too bad I don't believe it."

Sparrow:
I was slowly but surely becoming a puddle at his feet.
My smile grew cocky, "My my, Milo is this your attempt at flirting with me?" I giggled.

"No, that was before." Milo said in a fashion that a teacher might speak to a student in.

Sparrow:
I saw my chance and leaped for it.
"Here, lemme show you how it's done," I grinned. I jumped up on my tippy toes and pressed my lips to his, taking his face in my hands.
