I sigh and nod, ignoring the second half of what she had said. "Good," i say, finally getting the ropes around our hands off. Jeez, Bats would have killed me for taking so long... I take off my hood, looking around quickly for a camera before working on the ropes around my ankles.

Spades
I removed my hood also, my eyes quickly ajusting to the dim room. We seemed to be in some kind of storage area. I managed to work the rope off of my ankles, then I checked my belt to see if maybe there was a single bomb, a card- something. But nope. I sighed, running a hand through my curls. "Got any plan or something, birdy? 'Cause it looks like we're upstream without a friggen paddle" I glanced over my shoulder at him

Robin
I stand, my limbs stiff from the awkward position. "Well, obviously we aren't getting out of here by ourselves.". The floor was solid. The walls... I point at a vent cover, Half wondering if I'd still fit through those things. she seemed small enough though.

Spades
Huh, crawling through vents wasn't usually my style... but hey, always be open to trying new things, right? "How to reach it" I mused, looking around. Then I glanced back at him with an amused, half smile "Give me a boost?"

Robin
"If you open the door,"I gesture back at it, probably locked. I walk over beneath the vent, linking my fingers together as a foothold for her. I meet her eyes, pressing my lips together to a thin line. She and I can't get out of here alone. Just a simple fact both of us will have to accept.

Spades
I look back at the door, biting my lip. My first plan had been to leave hero boy in the dust, maybe even come back with a card or two to finish him off myself after the gang had done whatever.... but there's no way I can fight my way out of here. I nodded slightly "You have my word as a criminal" I laughed, putting my foot on where he had linked his hands, and grabbing the vent cover. It was secured to the wall, but I managed to work it off. Then I pulled myself up into the vent. "See you in a sec" I grinned, before crawling farther into the air duct

Robin
I help her up and into the hole, backing up a step to watch her go in silently. A waiting game now. I glance over at the door and lean up against the wall

Spades
I crawled through the vents, following my intuition as to where the vent cover closest to the door was. After a while, I took my time, partly to make Robin wonder if I was coming back for him or not, I finally reached one. Peering through the cover, I saw that it was just down the hall from where I and Robin were being kept. I kicked the cover out and jumped down, dispatching a guard by disarming him and shooting him with his own gun. Then I used that same gun to blow out the door's lock, and swung it open.

Robin
I grimace, stepping out with her and trying to ignore the guy at the end of the hall, way too much blood for him to still be alive. "Could you be any louder?" I murmur, looking down the other side of the hall. "Our best bet is up, try to get to the roof."

Spades
"Hey, cloak and dagger isn't exactly my forte" I muttered with a smirk "And why don't we just find where they're keeping our equitment and use that?" I paused for a couple of seconds, then continued "Besides... I'm not leaving my cards"

Robin
"You dropped them back at your little hideout," I say, stretching the meaning of 'hideout' a bit. Clowns and candy factories. Almost as unsuspecting as clowns and toy factories.... I turn back to her, raising an eyebrow. "You coming?"

Spades:
I felt releaved, smiling again "Alright then birdy, lead the way" I said, following him "And don't worry, I don't have anything to.stab you in the.back with" I added with a.chuckle, imagining doing just.that

Robin
I give her a look. "Right, you have a gun to shoot me. That's soooo much better...."

Spades
"Exactly, now keep walking in case.I get.a bad case.of an itchy trigger.finger" I giggled. It would be easy, wouldn't it? To pull the trigger and watch the little bird fall to the ground, covered in blood, his little blue eyes fading, fading...

Robin
I glare at her a moment but continue walking, looking for the stairs sign on the doors. Or better yet, a glowing red exit sign.

Spades
"We've.got company, Boy Blunder" I said, hearing the.thump of feet fast approaching. A few guys rounded the corner, and I shot them, sending them to the.ground

Robin
Which just attracts more guys with some guns of their own. I dodge a few of their shots, mentally cursing. "Any other bright ideas?" I call, knocking out a few.

Spades
"I don't really think this is a time for sarcasm" I said, shooting guys down until I ran out of ammo. I cursed, pegging somebody in the face with the empty gun. At least that was the last of them so far... "Maybe if we could just find the security room, we could use the cameras to find a staircase instead of just running around"

Robin
"Is there a difference in chances at finding either?" I sigh, looking down the halls. "Either or. We'll look for the staircase, and if we find the security room I'll thank my lucky stars and we can be out of here."

Spades
"Well, we already passed the security room" I said, glancing back at a door that had 'survalence' printed on it in small letters on one.side

Robin
I glance back and nod after a moment. "I'll stand guard."

Spades
I enter the room, and knock out the.guy sitting in front of the monitors before he even turned around. I scanned the.screens, locating a staircase a bit away, before going back out into the hall "Alright, follow me"

Robin
I nod, letting her take the lead. Working with the Ace of Spades... never would have pictured it.

Spades
I lead us down a couple of corridors, then paused as we reached the staircase door "This doesn't change anything, you know"

Robin
"I assumed as much," i say simply, stepping in and starting up the curving stairs. "Can we just call a temporary truce for tonight? I don't try to capture you once we're out on the roof, you don't try to kill me...."

Spades
"Fair enough. But next time I see you..." I grin.at.the.thought, locking the stairwell door behind us just in case.another.group of guys were after us, before following.him "So how freaked out do you think your boss was.when he realized you went MIA?"

Robin
I give her an incredulous look. "Can /YOU/ picture Bats getting freaked about /anything/?" I joke with a chuckle.

Spades
I tried for a second, and could.have sworn my brain got an actual cramp "Good point" I laughed "Okay, let me rephrase: how concerned do you think batsy is?"

Robin
I glance back at her, sort of wondering why she really cared. "He knows I can handle myself," i say, coming to the top and kicking open the door to the roof.

Spades
Suddenly... I wished I had a boss like that. One that cared at all, at least. Absentmindedly, I traced a clump of dark bruises on my arm as I looked around "Ah, freeeeedom" I laughed, looking up into the pale noon sky. My smile slipped slightly though, as I murmured to myself "Wonder if getting kidnapped warrents a beating". My eyes glazed over for a moment before I snapped out of it, and looked over atur Robin "See you around, bird" I smirked

Robin
And again, i wonder why the heck she stays with the Joker. I keep my eyes level with hers but I notice the bruises and cuts. "Yeah. See you around," i say, walking off towards the fire escape. Half of me wants to suggest it even. She'd just jest at me as always, brushing it off even though she really should. No one should have to live with that. I pause and look back, giving a small smirk. "RC," I add in, sliding down the ladders to the alley below and disappearing.

((Mrrrhhh... We need to do something...

I wander to the kitchen, looking for Spades. Another party that I'm being taken along to by Bruce.

Spades
I look up at Robin entering the kitchen, and smile softly "Hey Boy Wonder, what's going on?"

Robin
"Bruce is having a party for a business partner, i believe. And you know how exciting those tend to get," I say with a smile. "You want to come?"

Spades
I smirked "Another party? It's like Bruce is trying to get us all killed or something. But I'll send Elizabeth, we wouldn't want to leave poor Richard Grayson all on his own, now would we?" I teased
