Sorcery: A Twist In Time

Blake: I leaned over and placed a comforting hand on top of hers.

Victoria: I woke with a start. "Stupid Drake." I said aloud.

Artemis became stony again, her body uncounsiously leaning into Blake, wanting his comforting embrace

Blake: I pulled Artemis closer and kissed the top of her head.

Nico:
I nod and Lash myself to the car without a word. I land feet first on the side of the car and I walk down the vehichle to Artemis, Blake, and Autumn. "Now before I slay all of you, I would like to know why I am killing you other than the reason that Lana told me to" I say.

Artemis tilted her head up and stared at him. They were free again, she should be happy but she knew better. good things didn't happen to her. They'd find her again, and for her defiance- they kill her. life was pointless

Lana: "That's how it's done." I said with a smirk at Ryder and walked towards the facility.

Blake: I smiled at her my mind desperately hoping that it really was over.

Drake skidded to a stop as a boy appeared before them. Tensing he stepped out of the car, prepared to defend the others, and more importantly- Autumn "can I help you?"

Blake: "Stay here." I told Artemis and stepped out to join Drake.

Artemis watched him leave, sadness flickering across her face. She pressed herself up against the glass, her eyes almost seeming alive again as they remained locked on him

Drake narrowed his eyes, raising his wrist and levating the stranger away from them. he couldn't risk it, not with Autumn in the car "lets get out of here" he hiss to blake slid in with his super speed

Blake: I nodded and jumped in the car.

Artemis clung to Blake silently, her eyes still refusing to leave him

Drake sped off, anxious to get to a safe place

Blake: I pulled Artemis as close as I could in the backseat of the car and stared into her beautiful eyes.

a thought was gnawing at artemis, pulling at her consious enough to force her to stir and come out of the safe confines of her mind
"blake?" she croaked

Blake: "Yes?" I asked not looking away.

"you love me?" Artemis furrowed her eyebrows, not able to make it fit "why?"

Blake: I frowned, "Why do I love thee?" I asked with a smile. "Let me count the ways. I love you because I see the real you. Not the freak others seem to see when they look at what you, what all of us can do. I see the intelligent, kind, sensitive, girl who has been mistreated by the world because she is special, different. That is why I love you."

Artemis locked his gaze with hers, her eyes turning sharp as she searched his face for any signs of mockery or sarcasm. She found non and frown, he really must be delusional then. After all- Drake was always right, and he said she was worthless. She sighed and melted into his arms, hoping he didn't come to his senses anytime soon

Autumn: I sat there listening to Blake tell Artemis why he loved her and how he loved her and I could feel my heart ache. I didn't say anything though, I couldn't say anything. I was still stuck on the idea that Drake was pretending. That and I was in a car. I hadn't been in a car since....I don't even know. It didn't feel stable. My hand was clutching the side door.

Ryder: I rolled my eyes. "He only fell for it because he's a stupid teenager." I walked beside Lana and sighed. "Besides, where's the fun in it if you send others out to do the dirty work? I mean honestly?"

Drake remained focused on the road, his knuckles white as he clentched the wheel tightly. must get her to safety

Blake: I frowned for a moment wondering if that haunted look would ever go away from her eyes. I decided just to me grateful for what I had now and worry about the rest later. I laid my head onto of hers and closed y eyes just absorbing the moment.

Autumn: "Drake? When are we going to get there?" My voice shook slightly, my knuckles were turning white and my body was pressed back into the seat. I had to close my eyes or I was going to be sick I was so scared. It was right then that I decided I hated cars.

Drake gave her a worried look and slipped his hand in hers "not much longer" he reassured her, speeding up. Her unhappiness tore him apart.

Artemis closed her eyes and laid her head against his chest, a tear falling down her cheek
