"Ha, you're not the only one with something sharp, idiot." I twirl my own knife skillfully. Little ass was getting on my nerves again... you'd think he'd learn...

Brawne quirked and eyebrow and swung his blade, mirroring Quicy's actions. "Oh, but it seems I am." he prodded, tapping the side of his head with his fore-finger and winking peevishly.

Quincy
I block, couple with a kick at his knees again. "Oh, stop being so full of yourself..." I grumble. I look up and catch a girl looking at us from down the hall, hair cropped short, silver eyes staring. "Who the hell...?"

Winnie stayed on the ground and dizzily watched the whole thing. "Can someone PLEASE tell me what's going on 'ere?!"

Alright. The idiots seemed to be distracted enough, so Crooks dissapeared to look around. He would come back when they both had either worn themselves out, or one had killed the other. He slipped stealthily past a silver-eyed girl on his way out. One of the new outsiders, maybe. He wondered how many were scurrying around this place.

(That was Wisp, right? I forget what Sanae's eyes and hair are like.)

Sanae's got black hair, shoulder length, and dark eyes.

Who are they? Not supposed to be here, right? I catch one escaping a direction. These three certainly didn't seem the threatening ones, despite the show. I turn on my heel and start heading down a separate hall to head off the one.
"Hey girly! I asked who the hell you were!" I hear the faint sing of metal, all so familiar, as she throws it up and catches the blade side, winding back and throwing it at me.
I disappear, appear at her side, her knife at her throat. "You'd do well to leave now."
Dropping her knife, i disappear before it clatters to the floor. By now the one who ran would be lost somewhere. Where would Finn be now?

*doesn't know how to reply to Wisp at this precise moment in time*

Cricket smirked, but his smile faded along with hers. "You miss 'em?"

I look to the floor but nod. "And...And Daniel." I clasp one hand in the other, turning them to look down at my palms. A spark, a small flame in my cupped hands. "Some gifts are more like curses at times..."

Cricket watched the tiny flame with cautious fascination. "Aye, I know what you mean..." It was a funny thing, fire. It was a blessing until you got too close.

I fist my hands, putting out the fire. Breathe in till I can't anymore and let it out slowly. "I've come to hate it," i mumble.

Cricket frowned, then stepped over and placed a hand on her shoulder with a smile. "'ey, if it makes you feel any better, I 'aven't seen my family in...well, I 'aven't seen 'em. But as some famous guy with a funny beard once said, 'tis better t' 'ave loved and lost than not loved at all...' or something like that, 'cordding t' Annaleah. Me, I wouldn't know. But whoever it was 'as a point."

I roll my eyes but smile, shrugging off his hand shyly. "Yup. You could /not/ be emo if your life depended on it."

Cricket shoved his hands in his pockets, rolled his eyes and flipped his hair. "Whatever."

Kim
"ehhh....Still not seeing it bud. You're just not doom and gloom enough." I laugh and stand, ruffling his hair messy again. "And not tall enough either."

Cricket blew a piece of hair out of his face. "Beg pardon, I am not short. I am fun size. And b'sides, dark, evil, cold thoughts come in all shapes and sizes. Take Winnie for example. Little street blonde, 'member meeting 'er? She is E-V-L, a'right."

Kim
I blink and burst out laughing. "Ohh, don't spell around Aiden..." I manage to say, whipping away a tear from my eye.

Cricket cocked his head, thought about it, and laughed. "Ah! There's another letter in there, thought so! Give th' guy who just learned th' alphabet not much more than a month ago a break..." he paused, then frowned slightly. He was curious. "Speaking of evil...those needles back at 51 are pretty powerful, aye? Or are you just that good of an actor?" He cocked an eyebrow. "If you don't mind me asking."

I shrug, look away again. "I've dealt with an evil side is all," I say vaguely. "More of the reason I hate these powers..."

Cricket nodded, not wanting to pry any more. Another split personality to consider, then? Oh, fun. He ran a hand through his hair. "Sorry, friend, if I could do anything I would."

Kim
"No, it's better now," I reassure. I take a breath. "Just when I got my powers, the drug messed with my emotions like my brother. Only instead of canceling them out they blew them out of proportions," i explain a little, still not liking the subject of my brother.

Cricket smiled sympathetically. Us normal people have something like that, too...it's called hormones, he thought. And again he saw that weighed-down-by-memories look in her eyes. He'd often wondered what it was like to have a sibling. Maybe it was a bit like his relationship with Finn...and maybe what she was feeling was something like how he'd felt when he lost the rest of the gang. His mind spat that out of his thoughts like someone spat a fly that'd flown into their mouth. At least he still had Finn. Who did Kim have? "Once again. Sorry, friend."

I shake my head. "Not your fault. Not anyone's really..." I pick out a path through the instruments carefully, walking carefully to the door. "And you can't change it anyway. Why bother trying?" I say evenly, my face hardening again.

Cricket hesitated, then followed after her like a kitten chasing a bird. "But you've got us, aye? Just remember that."

I turn a moment and smile the next. "Aye," i copy jokingly, opening the door and stepping out into the hall.

Cricket cocked an eyebrow, then smiled. He glanced back at the room once before stepping out into the hall. It was starting to feel like they had all been with him since day one in this place...how did he ever survive nearly alone there? "No no. You stay with a lowlander, you've got t' talk like one. Say it with more of a long sound. Aye," he joked.

Crooks followed the voices. He didn't have to look to know who and where they were; he was used to walking blind. As he listened from around the corner, he came to the conclusion that Quincy and Winnie had been right. Cricket's voice was undeniable, though it was hard to recognise at first, since for years he had gotten used to the dark tone it possessed when Cricket was talking to him specifically. He smirked. And there was someone else he didn't recognise. About twenty feet away, around the corner and down the hall. He waited silent as a cloud.
