Crooks batted his eyelashes and mimicked Wisp, "Cricket?" He smirked and raised an eyebrow in a somewhat familiar fashion, and for a moment Cricket felt a twisted sensation of looking into a mirror. "Well, friend, I 'ad a feeling that I'd run into th' wrong end of a gun someday. But what can I say? It's better than a noose, aye?" A sudden sharpness in Cricket's eyes let him know that he'd tugged the right string. Poor kid was really having a hard time not killing him right now, but he'd pull through. Crooks was determined to make it a hell of a trip, though.

Cricket's hands clenched in and out of fists, but after a moment of holding his tongue he shook his head at Wisp.

Wisp
I look back, confusion present on my face. "But he..." My hand tightens on the gun. Everything said shoot him, why doesn't he want him dead? The intruder, the threat, the target - just to let him go? My gun wavers but doesn't lower. He'd be my fourth target that I let live. What sort of assassin was that?

"Well?" Crooks eyes never left Cricket. "Oh c'mon, Crick, th' gun isn't even in your hand. All you 'ave t' do is say one word--which shouldn't be so tough for you, seeing that you can never shut up in th' first place. I'm flexible when it comes to when it comes to my death, but it's bound t' 'appen sooner or later. Todays a lovely day as any, hm?"

Cricket locked his jaw. "You're pushing your luck."

"That's th' point, idiot."

"Wisp...lower the gun." Cricket said evenly. "You've got ten seconds to get out of this place."

"Or I'm a dead man, aye? I've got a secret, friend. Lower that gun and you're as dead as me."

I purse my lips but lower the gun, swallowing a moment and looking over at Cricket. I sigh frustrated teleporting behind him and hammering the butt of the gun to his head, watch him fall to the floor. "Compromise," I mumble, my face blank.

Crooks collapsed, wincing dizzily and clutching a hand to his head. A slight bit of red stained his hair. "You're too good...too good, y'know that?" And then he was out.

Cricket cocked an eyebrow. "Well then...sociopathic killer won't shut up, then knock 'im out. Makes perfect sense t' me." Now what to do with him....

mkay cool, someone mentioned sounds down the hallway. Should that be Milo and Sparrow? And also, who responded last with the Brawne/Wuincy thing?

I take a small step back from the fallen boy, frowning disguised, eyebrows drawn together confused. "Why not kill him?" I mumble past my teeth. The black gun still in my hand, gripping it so hard it hurts.

i believe I responded last. quincy noticed wisp, crooks snuck away, and then she disappeared quite ghost like to fit the whole legends of the bell tower *nods*

Wait, Quincy vanished?

Cricket watched him for a moment, hiding every expression behind his hair. Bad memories. "We used to be friends," he said shortly. He looked around for Kim, Finn, a shadow on the wall, anything so he didn't have to look at Crooks. "Let's get 'im away from 'ere."

wisp teleported. quincy is just a normal person.

Still confused. Even if he's a scycopathic killer, you're going to spare him because you /were/ friends? I sigh annoyed, crossing my arms across my chest, nudging Crooks with my shoe slightly. "Mobi Desert," i mumble quietly under my breath, just wanting away from this source of confusion.

Cricket shrugged. "I was thinking Downtown Lowlands."

My eyes narrow dangerously, getting frustrated at all the questions in my head. "There's three others," she says. "One's the one who was staying here. Another is a short girl, though she seems exempt from the group. Third is a rather obnoxious girl."

Cricket cocked his head at the change in her eyes. His brow furrowed. Marley, Sparrow...Leah...how had they come up in her mind? "Pardon? What of it?"

"With him," I point down at him with my gun, half tempted to shoot. Cricket won't like that though. "Accomplices." I pause. "I was looking for Finn, to tell him, and then heard you two...and him at the corner."

It clicked. More 'visitors'. He was half relieved she wasn't going on about people in the group. "Do you know names?"

Wisp
I shake my head, pausing to think. "a young girl, looking sort of beat up. She had called your name, maybe to warn you. An older girl, the loud one. Kept talking down to the younger one. And the young boy who had been here with Annaleah."

Cricket nodded thoughtfully. Brawne...well, he could stay...he supposed, if he truly wasn't with Crooks anymore. He would find out soon enough. And let's see...little girl who would warn him...? He would have to find the other two. "Do you know where they are?"

"Who?" A small voice said, and Cricket turned around to see Winnie, faint in the dark. It had taken her a lot of effort to follow their voices. She was leaning wearily against a wall, a dark bruise under one eye. Oh. One down, two to go.

"The obnoxious one was fighting the boy when I say them, but they had been talking of ghosts and I had teleported so I'm not sure they stuck around."

"Y'mean dumb an' dumber? 'Aven't seen 'em," Winnie said, sliding down the wall. Her head was throbbing again. Stupid bitch...someone on the ground caught her eye. She laughed. "You knocked 'im out?"

I jump and it takes everything in me not to whip around and shoot. I grit my teeth, trying to turn off what 51 gave me. Paranoia and nerves.
