"Oh. Well then. Yeah sure," i say. "Outside would probably work better. The rain helps me concentrate." And makes it one hundred times easier to heal someone.

Wisp
"Press the teeth?" Keys, he called them keys... I place a hand on them like he does and press them, though it sounds nothing like what he makes. I jump slightly.

Quincy
I smirk. "You're real halarious too, you know that? All talk and no bite. Can't even hope to kill a bug, let alone a person."

Senet
"Okay." I turned to Sesria. "Zjust a beet longehr," I said reassuringly.
"I told you, I can do this," she said, closing her eyes.
"And I told you, I can't 'elp but wohrry."

Finn smiled sheepishly. "Ah...try this." He placed a hand over hers and guided her fingers.

"Normal people don't enjoy killing. You are just crazy. I'm not. Better be glad for that, or your boyfriend would've been gone a long time ago," Cricket said with a smirk.

Emily
Yeah... Souls and experiments and studs aside, this was a little weird for even me. "Right well...this way I suppose.".

Wisp
I glance side long at him a moment, allowing my hand to slacken under his as my stomach flutters nervously.

Quincy
"Please Cricky. This is our life. Some grow up killing to survive, others steal for a living. Are we so different?". I shrug, turning on my heel and walking away. "seems youre boring anyway. Too noble for your own good."

Senet
"Zank you," I said with a nod.
"I couldn't tell you how much it means to me," Sesria mentioned with a small smile.

((Should I just go ahead and have Sesria switch back, then?))

Emily
I walk back the way I had come from outside, stepping out into the rain again. I look over expectantly at the group, waiting for some shift in appearance and blood.

Finn played carefully, giving a light pressure when she was to press a key. Slowly, a simple tune revealed itself. He began to hum quietly to himself to remember the notes. There's a place I used to know; there we'd dance to the ravens' crow...

Cricket shrugged, thinking to himself that he'd rather be boring than dead, and rather be noble than like the rest of them. But as she walked away he felt a corner of his mouth flit up in a mischeivous smile. He slipped her knife off of her with practiced skill, and dissapeared. Who was the better thief?

Wisp
I blink at the keys curious. A new sound...? No, it's Finn. I look over at him. "What's that?" I ask, eyes wide in wonder.

Quincy
I smirk. Whatever, little Cricky. Still think you're skilled? Pft....
I go down the corner he disappeared, finding Crooks trying to untie himself. "Need some help, darlin?"

A knife shot out of nowhere and embedded itself into the wall an inch above Quincy's head. In the handle something was scratched in lowlander writing; You'll need it more than I do. And Cricket was gone again.

Finn stopped mid-note and looked at her. "Humming," he said. " 'aven't you done it b'fore?"

Quincy
"pft, that boy had no manners..." I pull it out of the wall and walk over to Crooks, cutting off his bonds carefully. "You alright?" I ask, just because. Crooks wouldn't be one to admit if something wasn't alright.

Wisp
I shake my head, looking back down at the keys. I carefully repeat what he had shown me, slow and steady so as not to mess up. At least it sounds normal, and not a mess of low growls and high outraged cries.

Crooks' expression betrayed nothing. Gunshots and blood on the water...anger pierced his heart. He stood with the air of a soldier reliving a battle. His eyes shot to Quincy. "...don't keep that knife."

Finn grinned. "Ah, see? There you 'ave it."

Senet
"Okay, here goes," Sesria spoke.
She closed her eyes and immediately started to glow. Her form began to vanish, starting at her hands and feet and working towards her center until all that remained was a blue sphere of light. In a final flash, Peter reappeared.
"Agh!"
His legs, not quite ready to support him yet, crumpled; I jumped to grab him, helping him gently to the ground.
"Thanks," he said, a tired smile on his face. "Forgot how much it was gonna hurt..."

Quincy
I meet his eyes and shrug, throwing it back into the wall. "Suit yourself," i say. It's easy to /aquire/ another around here anyway. "Oh. Reminds me..." I look in my jacket pocket and dangle his gun from a finger.
Whose the better thief /now/ Cricks?

"It's slow," i mumble, stopping on the next key.

Emily
/Still/ not used to that....
I cup my hands and collect some water, walking over. "Take a breath. Pain isn't finished yet." I say, turning the water bubble to the first stab wound I see and concentrating on healing it.

Senet
Peter stiffened, sucking in a breath sharply. He clenched his jaw and his fists, but gave no other signs that he was in any sort of pain.
For the record, he thought to me, this hurts like hell. The injury and the healing combined, I mean. But I can't complain.

Crooks took the gun in one hand, then double-took. There was something scratched onto the handle. "Happy Unbirthday; CW," he read aloud, before sticking it in his pocket.

Finn shrugged. "Well, you can always play faster."

Emily
I take easy breathes, but I know I can't do this all at once, even with the rain. A headache was already forming. Just heal the major stuff and stop the bleeding, I can do the rest later. How the heck did this kid suddenly turn into swiss cheese is my question...

Quincy
I frown slightly, pulling my wet hair out of my face. "Cricky finally lose his mind? He traveling to Wonder Land in his free time?" I joke lightly.

Wisp
Mmm...play faster...? "Later," I murmur, blinking a few times. I find myself leaning on his shoulder again, eyes heavy. "What are the images you see when you...go unconscious?"

"No, or else you would 'ave seen 'im there," Crooks answered dryly, feeling water droplets trail down his skin. Too bad it was a warm rain. It made his headache worse.

And there she was again, up against his shoulder. His hands hovered the piano keys to distract him from his slight blush. She was like a little girl. But the next time he saw Cricket, he would get a terribly awkward feeling about the whole situation. "Ah...well...black," he said, and then shook his head. "No, more like nothing. People confuse black and nothing too often."

Quincy
I stick my tongue out at him and cross my arms. "Fine. Don't thank me. Could have just left you for the wild dogs to eat," i grumble, turning and starting to walk away.

Wisp
I shake my head. "Not that. Another word...At night, you...pass out intentionally...and then there are images..." I whisper. "They scare me..." My eyes close a second, feeling comfortable for the first time in a long time. "Tired."

"Sleeping?" Finn asked, quietly. "Dreaming, aye? Do you...want a place t' sleep?"

Crooks smirked. "Over your dead body." He felt his gun in his pocket, and followed.

Wisp
Sleep. Dream. Music. Piano. Keys. Humming....Anything else today? They make my head hurt.
I nod slightly, though I'm perfectly happy just staying here. Better than what I've had in the past.

Quincy
I purse my lips, ignoring him.

Senet
Peter had his eyes shut tightly.
How long will this take? I wondered. Emily isn't looking so good...

Finn paused a moment, watching her. "...a'right." He stood carefully, waiting for her to follow.

Emily
I disperse the water bubble, sighing tired. "That's all I can do today. Most major damage is fixed, and you won't bleed anymore so long as you don't do anything strenuous."

Wisp
Lack of support. i catch myself, blinking my eyes open again before standing with him. I mumble something inaudibly, taking his hand to let him lead me.

Senet
"Thanks a ton for that," Peter said gratefully, slowly getting up.
Ah, he admitted in my mind, still a bit sore.
