Sound of Madness

"You were still really fast, though." Carly shrugged, her blue eyes following him.

"Yeah. It was a shame i had to leave my swim team." He shrugged. "We would have gone to nationals this time around."

"You could join a different swim team? Maybe?" Carly wasn't sure how all that worked.

"Could, but not right now. The swim season has already started and they dont usually take new comers." Derek sighed.

Carly nodded. "Um, I'm sorry, that sucks...?" She wasn't sure how to comfort him.

"Its fine." He shrugged. "You said you wanted to go swimming right?"

"Right." Carly nodded and stood up.

Derek jumped back into the water, splashing Carly again. "C'mon, the watter feels amazing."

Carly jumped in, then bobbed to the surface and splashed him with a laugh. "Liar, it's so cold!"

Derek laughed lightly as she slashed him. "Its better then most pools i swim in." He laughed.

Carly rolled her eyes and sunk down beneath the water again, closing her eyes.

Derek snuck up behind her and poked both of her sides.

Carly was startled and lost most of her air, so she popped back to the surface. "Don't do that!"

Derek laughed hard and shook his wet hair out of face so he could see her. "That was priceless. Almost as good as the swing."

Carly shoved him, but it wasn't like she was strong enough to actually push him around. "Shuttup."

Derek grabbed her wrists to stop her from trying to shove him again and laughed. "Make me," He smirked at her.

Carly's eyes narrowed. The first thing that popped into her head to make him shut up she would never do. Because he wouldn't let her live it down if she tried to kiss him. "I...can't"

"Course you cant." He laughed and shook his head agian. "You are so funny when flustered." He noted, watching for her reaction.

"I'm not flustered." Carly pouted.

Max: "Oh..." I said. "Um...I see." I nodded. "I see. Uh...I'm sorry about that."

"No you're not." Dana's jaw tightened, then she relaxed it. She couldn't expect a near-stranger to sympathize. "Your turn."

"Fine, its funny to see you pout then." He still hadnt let go of her wrists.

Max: I sighed. "I am. I'm just, you know, uh, not good at expressing stuff..."

"It's funny to see...how you like touching me." Carly smirked, looking pointedly at her wrists.

Dana shrugged. "It's okay."

Max: "Uh..." I groaned. "Crap. My turn."
