"Guys? Nope. I mean, unless they were invisible while we hang out then no. I mostly see her reading her magazines." Cici shrugged.

"Huh, weird." Devon shrugged, stuffing the ribbon in his pocket. He'd ask her about it later. "What are /you/ doing up here, anyway?"

"I came up here to watch the sunrise, but was to lazy to go back inside after," Cici laughed lightly.

"Oh," Devon said and chuckled a little to be polite. He didn't think laziness was funny. Hypocritical of him, eh?

"Yup. But, I should probably get back inside and grab something to eat. Would you like anything?" Cici offered him as she went to the steps.

Devon shook his head. "I'm fine, but thanks for offering."

"Alright," cici smiled to him and walked back inside. She stopped by carly's room and knocked on the door.

Carly opened the door. "Oh, hey CiCi. What's up?"

"Devon found your ribbon up on the roof and thinks you are with someone," Cici said quickly in one breath. "And i think he thinks its derek, but i'm not sure. He asked if you were hanging out with any guys, and i told him you weren't, that when you werent hanging out with me you were looking at your magazines."

Carly bit her lip. Shit. "Okay, thanks for the heads-up."Now she'd have a story prepared if he asked.

"No problem." Cici smiled to her and was about to exit her room but paused. "Be careful about how close you get to derek while devon is in the house." She advised.

Carly blinked. "Um, alright...." So don't talk to him or anything?!

"See ya around." Cici smiled to her and left her room.

Carly wondered how she was supposed to warn Derek, when she wasn't supposed to get close to him. Pulling out a pad of sticky notes, she scribbled a note.

Don't talk to me for awhile.

She slid it under the door of Derek's room, since Devon wasn't around, then went back to her own.

(yes, I purposely made that note able to be interpreted in alllll different ways)

(lol, yeah. it could mean:
1) carly hates him now/he did something wrong
2) its from cici
3) cici hates him, which would confuse him to no end
and some other meanings.)

Derek saw a note pushed under his door and went to go pick it up. He read over it. What did this mean? Did he do something wrong? Did carly hate him? Was it from Cici?

(mmhmm. and -- one more -- if Devon found it, he also wouldn't know if it was from Carly or not.)

Carly found a magazine to look at, to try and get her mind off of this for a little while.

Derek had come to the realization that he probably messed up with Carly bad enough that she wanted nothign to do with him. He sighed and looked down at his hands as he sat on his bed. Demi came into his room and saw him.
"you ok?" She asked him. He shook his head and she walked over to him and sat down on the bed next to him. "Whats the matter?" She asked him, rubbing his shoulder. He shrugged off her touch.

Carly couldn't get into the magazines like usual. She sighed and put the one she was reading away, going instead to organize her close. She was a bit weird that way, she took pleasure in changing around the organization of her clothes for some reason.

"Talk to me, Der..." Demi pressed him. She shifted so she was in his lap and looking him in the eye. "Whats the matter? What happened?" She pressed him.

Carly tried not to think about the note, and how she'd have to survive not talking to Derek for awhile. That would be hard.

Demi looked up at him and sighed. She kissed him lighlty, but pulled away soon after. "Whats the matter?" She asked again. He just shook his head and kissed her. He felt conflicted inside, and this wasnt helping him in the long run but it made him feel good right now. He missed her(her being demi), missed her kisses, but he wasnt sure if he still loved her or not. He also didnt want to hurt carly like this, but she was the one to call it off.

Carly happened to look out her doorway, checking for Devon, when she saw that Derek's door was partially open. Through it she could see a mess of bonde hair and a ... girl wrapped around him?! That Demi girl? She was frozen for a moment, but then slammed her own door and tried to convince herself that wasn't going on in Derek's room.

Derek finally pushed away from her and kept his eyes closed. "I missed you demi...I really did." He whispered softly.
"Ohh...someone broke you heart - besides me - didnt they?" She sighed softly, brushing back his hair.

Carly slid down her door, sitting on the floor and leaning against it. She put her head on her knees and tried not to cry. He probably hadn't even read her note, she thought.

Devon came down from the roof, he wanted to ask Derek about this, but when he went to Derek's room he saw that Demi chick all wrapped around him like they'd been kissing. And he had actually started to think she wasn't a hoe. Nice. "Uh, sorry..." He closed the door to Derek's room and went to Carly's.

"Carls, open up," He said, knocking.

"No," Carly mumbled.

"F***" Derek sighed and rested his head on Demi's shoulder. "you shouldnt be in here with me like this. We broke up." He sighed to her and gently pushed her off his lap.
