Daughter of Darkness

"Warmth." Kale said with a small smile. "Warmth, light, and it hangs in the sky." He looked forlornly at some random space, then shook his head and replaced the look with his usual smirk. "To bad I'll never see it again." His tone light.

"Jamison. Jamison Feltts." He grumbled as he rubbed his head, wincing with every movement.

That rang a dim bell "sun?" she repeated her voice distant. Her vision shifted and she was that scared toddler being dragged from the house. The sun. the bright thing in the sky. huh, that was called the sun?

"Yup, that's the sun." Kale said as he ran a hand through his hair. He wondered if they'd take him away soon. He was a little desperate to talk to someone....not so out of it. He understood why, sure. But still. He had very little patience and he could feel it already wearing on him. He wondered what kind of torture they used on guys like him.

Artemis stirred a little more, snapping out of it and regaining some of her spunk “what’s your name?” she asked, meeting his gaze

"Kale." He said with a small smile, his warm eyes still holding a small glimmer of hope. "What about you?"

"Artemis" She murmured, her voice gaining strength, "my name is artemis"

Mirissa nodded, "I'm Mirissa, "she struggled to remember her last name then gave up and shrugged, "how you feelin'"

Dani popped up behind Mason. "Hi ya' whatcha up to?"

((Forget to mention she is very childish, I decided that she ages very slowly. ))

"Like i was attacked by a big ugly thing. Oh. Wait. I was." Jamison grumbled, letting his head rest against the wall, closing his eyes.

"Artemis?" Kale smirked. "I like that name. It's cute." He watched her carefully. "What do you like to do, Artemis?" Might as well try and make the best of it.

Mason growled and turned, glaring at the ignoring figure behind him "torturing prisoners. you?"

"Following you." She smirked. "I like torturing people...."

Mirissa smirked, "He is ugly."

She looked at him oddly then looked pointedly around the cell "there's not much to do. you?"

Kale smiled widely at her. "There's plenty to do. You just got to find it." he chuckled and let his head lay back on the wall. "I like....fighting for a cause I guess."

Jamison nodded. "Very, very ugly." He grumbled.

Mirissa laughed

Artemis sighed and sat back "what cause?"

Jamison smirked and looked over at the strange blind girl. "How'd you loose your sight?" he asked, his voice quiet. It was a strange, abrupt change of topic. He knew it. But he was curious, and curiosity always got out of his mouth faster than quick remarks.

"Before I got thrown in here? A rise against the government and the way they treat people that are different." Kale said, looking away.

Artemis raised an eyebrow and sat up a little straighter "are you ...different?"

Mirissa got quiet, "You'll think I'm crazy. " she grumbled.

"Try me." Jamison said with a smile.

Kale shook his head. "Nah, not me. But Jamison is." He gestured towards the guy on the other side of the glass. "And so were my parents."

Artemis's eyes fell to the other side of the glass and her old self emerged as she spotted mirissa. She scrambled forward, pressing herself up against the glass "mirissa?"

Kale watched the girl with interest. Sure, now, when he was thinking about torture, she wanted to come to life. He rolled his eyes and looked away. Man he was bored. He once again began to occupy himself with the puzzling question of what they used for torture on guys like him.

Bells wrote:"Following you." She smirked. "I like torturing people...."

Mirissa smirked, "He is ugly."

Drake laughed, "do you? Well I got some prisoners in that special cell that could use some taunting. I'm otherwise busy, sadly. but if you want at it, be my guest"

Artemis pounded against the glass, becoming frustrated. "dammit" she cursed, not liking the fact that they were seperated

Mirissa started to reply then saw movement at the window and heard Artemis's voice.
"Artemis! How are you?"

Dani giggled, "Alright!" She walked to the cells he named and pulled open the door to the area outside them.

Artemis winced, her question bringing around memories she'd rather not remember "alive. and you?"

Mirissa winced at her voice, "I fine. I'm so sorry Artemis. I promise it won't happen again. I wont fight. Ill be a good girl. " yep, she was broken.
