Till Death Do Us Part..

Mark frowned and pushed the food back towards her, sitting down across from her again. "Eat. And it's not a curse. It's a gift."

Artemis frowned "a gift implies something good, I can't recall a single good thing from these supposed 'gifts'. can you?"

Mark watched her and nodded. "I met you didn't I?" He asked as he watched her. He gently reached out, covering her eyes with his thumbs, his hands resting on the side of her head. "Open your mind, but don't focus on one thing like before where you were looking for the marks and energy traces. Just let your mind flow."

Artemis stiffened for a second but relaxed and complied. She gasped as she took in what she found

When he removed his hands, everything had color shining around it, everything seeming to take on a new beauty. "what you're seeing now, is the spirit of everything. Even the atoms that hold these tables together have spirits." he murmered quietly.

Artemis stared around in awe, fully aware that to the normal person- she must look like an idiot right now. but she didn't care, it was just so beautiful.
"Alright" she relented "so there's just one perk. but that doesn't make up for all the hell it's raised in my life. to me- it's still a curse"

Mark smirked at her. "Is the glass half full, or half empty." he said with a wink.

Artemis side and looked away "you are odd to say the least"

Mark smiled at her and chuckled. "I like being odd. It's more fun than being even."

Artemis swiped at him playful and tossed up the fries the bucket, shifting them around then offering him the assortment "eat, you almost lost your soul. you need food too"

((eep! *tackles ella* you disapeared on the chat box and I thought you were gone and then I was sad >.<))

Mark sighed and looked at the fries uneasily. "I'm not sure my stomach can handle it just yet." he muttered as he stared at the fries.

(lols, no, some stuff is happening. I'll be on and off few about an hour but back permanently afterward ^.^)
Artemis frowned "what is it like? the whole soul sucking thing"

Grace shrieked an clapped her hands. "It works!" She spun around and thoughtlessly gave Brendon a hug. Then blushed and turned back to the engine.

Brendon chuckled as he watched her and drapped his arm over her shoulder. "I bet it gets great gas millage." He said, his eyes sparkling happily.

Grace grinned, blushing even more at the fact of his arm. "I bet, lets finish putting it together so we can find out."

Brendon nodded and unhooked the engine and put the jumper cables away before sliding under the car to start making sure nothing in the hood was rusted out and needing replaced.

Grace climbed inside the car to check out the dash and seats and all that stuff.

Brendon rolled out from under the car and grabbed the chain that he used to help lift the engine in and looked over at Grace. "Wanna help me?" He gave a small smirk at the fact that she was half way over the front seat.

Grace flung herself backwards and hit her head on the dash. "Ow!" She blushed and rubbed her head while sliding out of the car. "Yeah, Ill help. " she smiled up at him.

Brendon laughed and shook his head. "Are you alright?" he asked as he watched her get out of the car.

Grave nodded quickly, "I've had worse." She walked over to the engine. She'd had a lot worse than that. "Lets get this thing going."

Brendon chuckled and handed her the chain. "I'm going to lift parts of it up, and I want you to slide the chain onto it, alright?" He looked at her. "Ready? One two three go." He lifted part of the engine block.

Grace managed to get the chain in place then grinned, "I did it!"

Brendon chuckled and set the block back down with a groan. that thing was heavey. "Alright, again." he said as he turned the block. "One, two, three, go!" He lifted it again and watched as she put the chain in place. "Got it?" he groaned

Grace smiled and stepped back. "Got it!"
