Mark watched her as he dug his hands into his pockets. "I'm alright." Liar. But he was a good liar, nothing showing through. None of his pain, none of his tiredness, none of his exauhstion. "Just was passing through and thought I'd check on you."

Artemis nodded, swallowing hard. "Hows bridget?" she asked, not sure what to say

"She's gone." Mark said watching her. "Searchers caught her three days ago before we could get to her. And Brendon broke the bond, so I don't know where he's at. Looking for Grace I think." His voice was slightly hallow as he talked about his now disperesed family. He reached up and gently rubbed the now faint pink mark from where Nellie had sliced his cheek. "How have you been?"

Artemis winced and looked away. "like I said, I'm still breathing.. I'm sorry"

"It's alright." His voice was still a little hallow. "I've got to get going..my bus leaves in ten minutes." He paused, staring at the ground. "Artemis.." he watched her and took a deep breath. "I still love you, Wendy." he said as he watched her gently he kissed her forehead and turned, walking away. No use lingering, letting the wound fester.

Artemis stared after him in horror. he was leaving? no! "m-mark!" she stumbled after him "take me with?"

Mark stopped and turned and looked back at her. "You want to come away with me?" He asked, almost in shock. He gave a slight nod in concent, wondering how he was going to explain that he didn't really have a bus ticket. "Get your things and meet back here in ten." He said as he watched her.

Artemis scoffed her feet, turning red in shame "I.. I don't have anything... I threw it all out a few weeks back..." when she snapped out of her trance she went on a 'clensing(sp?)' spree and threw out all of her things that made her think of a guy.. which was everything...

Mark watched her and sighed giving a small nod. "will you be alright if we stop by the garage for somethings?" he watched her carefully, wonderin how she was going to get trough being with him when she could barely even stand the thought of men.

Artemis dipped her chin and let her hair fall and cover her face "okay"

Grace flinched as the door creeked open. He'd left her alone in here since cuffing her there. Someone came in once a day to let her stretch around then put her back and leave. She knew he would come in soon. He liked to let fear build, fester until your dreams were full of nightmares of what might happen. He grinned and stepped in the doorway.
"Hows my darling Gracie."
"I hate that name." She muttered and his eyes darkened.
"Really?" He started across the room. "Seems you've forgotten Your manners since we last saw each other like this. I'll have to remind you....."

Mark nodded and held his hand out to her, knowing she probably wouldn't take it, but offered it to her none the less.

Brendon continued to search

(tay! *tackles* I thought you had left will you be on for long?)

Artemis eyed his hand and flinched, digging her own into her pocket and falling in besides him

((eep! *gets tackled* no, sorry I fell asleep. As soon as they call I have to go..and I'll be gone until late tonight))

Mark tucked his hand into his pocket and walked with her back towards the garage, letting silence fill the space between them. He cleared his throat a few times, but didn't say anything, to afraid his words might harm her. "I never..left..you know." he said finally after what felt like ages to him.

Artemis glanced up at him curiously "you didn't?"

Mark shook his head, his eyes not meeting her, staring straight ahead. "no." he answered simplely.

She dropped her gaze and stared down at her feet "I'm..I'm glad"

"i was keeping you safe." His eyes didn't leave the sidewalk, the exauhstion starting to show through, along with a little bit of pain.

Grace cringed and dropped her eyes, she new his teaching methods weren't, nice.
Allen chuckled and stopped next to the cot, his eyes looking her over. "Later perhaps, first, have you reconsidered my offer? Its strange but I believe you might like it."
Grace glared, a little of her fighting spirit raising with her anger. "My answer is the same, you can go to h-"
Allen smacked her, the force driving her into the wall.

Artemis frowned "you didn't have to do that... she studied his face" you okay?" he didn't look too good

"I'm alright." He murmered focusing on putting one foot infront of the other. "And yes..I did..I promised you I would."

Brendon finally found the house. He looked around trying to decide what the best way to go in was

Grace winced as her head struck the wall, (lolz this is a dumb question ....do our ghosts bleed something?)) Allen glared at her. Pulling her down on the bed as he'd done si many times before he straddled her, eyes blazing.
"What's so wrong with staying by me?"
Grave glared up at him, definitely. "Its you."
Allen growled and slipped a knife from his pocket, Cutting her pants off.
"You'll regret that decision." He said dropping off his own clothing.

Artemis shifted uncomfortably "you do you care so much?"

Brendon decided the front door was as good a place to go in as any. He followed the trace down to the basement, flicking his lighter as he went, the solid steel blade cool in his hand. He burst through the door, the scene before him making his jaw drop and pure rage run through his viens. He ran at the guy, swinging.

Mark glanced at her finally, having to stop because if he didn't focus on his feet, he would fall over. That's how tired he was. "Because. I love you, Artemis."
