--Daycare--

T.Mor:

"Never heard of it..." I said. This was wierd...This was very wierd.

Peter

"Whoah," I said, looking at Cricket. "I don't think I can do that."

"Watch zees," Senet announced. He crouched a little on the bar before jumping forwards into the air, flipping halfway through the arc, and landing neatly on the very end bar on the other side. He turned around, grinning.

"No fair!" I accused. He merely shrugged in response, still satisfied.


Nike

"What's 'tinned?'" I asked. "Is that like canned?"

Okay, I was sure I felt some power being used. It was coming from outside. I stole a wary glance at the window...but all I saw were four messy kids. I returned my attention to the tower, but I still felt uneasy.

"I live in a country called the United States of America," said Evan. "Do you know about it?"

Leslie

"So you don't have any unfinished business?" I asked. "Nothing you want to do? Nobody you want to see? It doesn't have to be bad business, either."

"I died when I was ten. What do you think?" said Tommy, he was starting to get annoyed.

Leslie

"So?" I asked. "I'm 262, and I still remember everything that's happened to me so far. Think, kid."

"There was one thing...I never got to tell Andrew and warn him," said Tommy quietly.

Leslie

"Ah! A lead!" I exclaimed, clapping my hands. "Okay, tell me everything you know about Andrew, and what it was you wanted to warn him about."

"No. Never heard of it." I replied...I had no idea what a country was either. Oh well.

Mr.Face:

"Tinned and canned are synonyms. They mean the same thing." I explained. "So...Yes."

Nike

"Huh," I commented. "I've never heard anyone say 'tinned' before. So, do you know how they got the food to put in the cans? Do you know anything about that process?"

"That's odd..." said Evan. "Do you live in England or in france maybe?"

"I wanted to warn him that I had heard the ship was going to sink. I heard it from some lady who said the medium said it would. Normally, I would have thought they were off they're rocker but considering I'm still here I wanted to warn him. Andrew was my best friend. I died and he well continued to age. He would've been sixteen when he left to go to America with his family."

Mr.Face:

"It comes from the internet. The internet spawns the food from foodspawners and then tins it...and sends it to the shrine box...Or am I wrong?" This is what I had been taught.

T.Mor:

"What're those?" I asked. I'd already said I lived in Auda...

"Countries," said Evan, "you said Auda was a city right?"

T.Mor:

"Well...Yeah. What is a country?" I finally voiced the question aloud.

"A country...is a place ruled by a different kindom or president."

Cricket
"Ah, where'd you learn t' do that?" I smirked. I'd flipped across rooftops before, but never on bars. " 'old on." I crouched a bit, and flipped through the air with ease...the landing was a different story. I wasn't turned quite enough to land on my feet, so I ended up grabbing the last bar with my hands and swinging around it until I was hanging underneath. "Heh," I chuckled.

T.Mor:

He was talking about cities. "No...That's a city. Auda has a different government from SInk Pump...which has a different government from Three Quarter Turn and Some miles Away from SInk Pump. And what is a president?" He kept using these words...These words I didn't know.

Nike

"Fruits grow off trees, bushes, and vines," I told him. "Vegetables grow out of the ground. Farmers harvest these, pack them up--like putting them in cans--and ship them to markets. Well...it's slightly more complicated depending on where you go for your food, but that's the gist of it."

"A president is a ruler of a country where we have something called democracy."

Leslie

"Okay," I said with a nod, considering. "Do you know what ended up happening to Andrew? This could be key to your moving on!"


Peter

"Now, watch zees," Senet said, encouraged by Cricket's failure to match him. He turned towards the swingset, crouched again, and jumped. He soared high through the air, much farther than any normal person could leap, landing neatly on the top bar of the swingset. He stood there with a cocky grin and a "Beat that" gleam in his eyes.

"Tricheur!" I called again. He laughed in response.

"I think he died...he probably is dead by now...maybe Gh'll know," said Tommy.

Leslie

"...Then what's the problem?" I asked. "If he's dead, he's dead. You can't change the past. You can't go back in time to warn him. There's no sense in sticking around here, so you might as well move on."

"Well I can't just make up my mind and go! Man, where's Gh when you need her?" sighed Tommy.

Finn
Cheater. I was getting tired of hanging upside down and pushed myself on top of the bars. Cricket swung up again, landing nimbly and then sitting on a bar. "A'right...now top me without powers," he smirked, now catching on.

Peter

"I don't zeenk I can," Senet laughed. He stepped right off the bar, but instead of falling, he kept walking as though there was a surface there. He walked back over to the monkeybars, standing on top of the set again.

"I like your powers better than mine," I said somewhat wistfully.
