Sound of Madness

(Julian and Paris, because I'm still brainstorming on more creative things for Blake to say >_>)

Julian sat on the back porch, his setch pad in his lap and pencil tapping on the paper. He was looking down on the drawin of Paris.

Paris walked up behind him and saw that he was looking at the drawing. She bit her lip. "I still think that one's really good."

Julian laughed lightly and just looked down at the drawing. "Are you serious, or are you just being bias because it's you?" he asked her, not looking at her.

"Maybe a little bit of both," Paris said with a laugh. "But if it's being bias, then it's in a negative way. Because I'm not something to look at." She sat down next to him.

Julian looked at her blankly. "Not something to look at?! You are one of the prettiest girls I have ever seen " he couldn't believe what she was saying. "Paris, you are beautiful."

"Thanks, dear," Paris said, keeping her voice light as usual. She hoped it wasn't obvious that his words made her heart skip a beat or that butterflies were flipping in her stomach. Just friends. They were going to stay just friends. She had to remind herself.

Julian smiled over to her. "You're welcome, love." be said softly, his eyes kind. Something in him told him to kiss her. He shook away the feeling immediately and just shook his head. What was he thinking? Kiss Paris? Part of him was going insane.

Paris gulped and looked down at her shoes, her eyelids falling shut and sighing. This was hard. Why couldn't she have started out as more than friends with Julian? Then there wouldn't be anything to "ruin" and they could live happily ever after.

"Ever feel like there is one small detail in your life you wish you could change before it happened?" julain asked her, lookin up tonthe sky. Part of him wished he could change what they were. But he knew he couldn't. Their friendship...he couldn't risk that.

Paris nodded, smiling slightly. "I like how we're always on the same page. I guess that's why we're best friends, why we're a perfect m- team." She was going to say 'match' but that would sound odd now.

"Mteam?" julian laughed. "I didn't know that word existed." he joked with her, a smile still on his face. Again. He had the urge to kiss her. By hensupressed the feeling yet again and just smiled to her.

Paris blushed and looked away. What the heck? She was never like this around Julian! "I figured saying "match" would be awkward, so I changed what I was going to say mid-word."

"Understandable." Julian nodded, and blushed himself. Could she feel his emotions? Did she know that he wanted to kiss her? Or course not. That was impossible.

(anythin for Blake yet? Oh, and I don't know how often I will be on after Sunday, the Internet aty grandmas place is down.)

Paris peeked over at him, but then looked away, down at her shoes again. She started to count the sparkles -- she was wearing bedazzled converse today. Some people thought her clothing was immature and five-year-oldish.

"I think I'm going to head inside." Julian told her, standing up. Before he did somethin stupid. He grabbed his sketch pad and ruffled her hair ad he passed her to go inside.

And yes, until saturday.)

"Oh...okay...bye," Paris said, her disappointment evident on her face.

Derek came back from his shift at the pool, his hair soaked. "Stupid kids." he mumbled to himself. He went up to hi room to fid a change of clothing.

Carly was in her room, practicing blowing bubbles with gum. She was trying to beat her record for her biggest bubble blown.

Derek changed quickly and ran a hand through his hair to fix it. He walked over to carly's room and knocked on the door once before entering. "hey." he smiled to her.

Carly popped the bubble she'd just blown, the gum now back in her mouth. She smiled. "Hey, you're back!"

Derek smiled to her and sat down next to her. He wrapped an arm around her and kissed the top of her head. "Yup. I am."

"I missed youuu," Carly singsonged, leaning into him and closing her eyes contently.
