She borrowed a boat...fell asleep...and woke up here.

"We don't really know," I answered. "We just sorta woke up here too...minus the boat. Also...Alice in Wonderland? Fluffy bunny?"

"Uh, some book. Or movie. Or... something... about this weird place that some chick named Alice ends up in after following some bunny on LSD. Or maybe SHE was the one on LSD. Oh well, that's beside the point. Is anybody else here?"

Peter

Sounded...weird.

"Not that we know of," I answered.

"We 'aven't been walkeeng fohr vehry long," Senet added.

Marley
"Hm... if I stretched my power out enough, I could probably get a good feel for if there's anybody else. But that takes a lot of power..." I said, debating. Hm...

Wandering...I had lost Ayakashi when she fell before, though I kept getting sidetracked by the sights of this little island. Such an odd parasitic plant...you're supposed to be looking for Aya, DMO... Yellow eyes nictitate at the interesting fauna and flora. Hominoids on the beach... I peak out of the solar collectors of the stationary creatures of this planet.

"It's the same for us, actually," I said. "Maybe the three of us could do it in different areas?"

Marley
"Sounds like a good idea" I nodded

Peter

"Alright," I said. "We could each pick a direction, I guess."

I turned inward, closed my eyes, and switched my shape to a line (Consequently, I was hit by a wave of heat, much to my displeasure). I tried to sense for life past the beach and into the trees, though the most I got were some small animals. Concentrating, I went even farther.

Interesting mental capabilities. Though I did not know if they were sophisticated enough to sense me like I sensed them stretching out through the forest. Aya was the only non DMO i had come into contact with who could hear my telepathic messages, but she also had a bit of my radiation in her cells. Though I was safe now; Area 51 had stored most of my output. It would take a bit of photosynthesis to get my energy levels back to stabilization.

I struck on something odd. It was a small life form...but it registered as intelligent life. Huh? It wasn't like I was unfamiliar with aliens (well, aliens in a sense), but this was something totally new. Could it be a species from some distant, uncharted plane? Seemed like the only option to me.

Sesria, I thought, go out and have a look, will you?

Out loud, I said, "Found someone, guys. I don't know how well this could go over, though."

"What do you mean?" Senet asked.

"Intelligent life that the bonders have never encountered."

"Hreally?"

"Seems so."

I felt Senet change direction and stretch out his own power over mine.

Eeehh...power is focusing... Some other accumulate of consciousness comes near me without any visible body. Yellow eyes nictitate in its general direction, though I do not know where this consciousness is exactly. Not even a Diptera sized body, though the consciousness is too big for such a small container.
But perhaps they may help find Ayakashi. <Greetings?> I test out telepathically, unsure if such beings could hear me. Hominoids were usually too unevolved to hear.

...Okay, I don't know what this thing is, Sesria told me. I'm making contact with its soul now. Hello? Can you hear me? ...Wow, I feel dumb. It isn't likely that it even speaks English.

The little mouse blinked, little beady eyes just like Mo's yellow ones. Greetings? DMO can sense you're consciousness, though you are not strong enough of a mind to make contact. Have you seen Project 49Y400D, Ayakashi? Dreadfully lost, and she had been having immuno-assailants attacking her system.

Peter

Not strong enough of a mind to make contact? I thought. Then, with obvious sarcasm, That wasn't insulting or anything.

Peter...shut up, Sesria chided.

Hey, it's not like I would've said that out loud. But you know what happens. I can't help the thought exchange.

No, we haven't met anyone named Ayakashi.

The mouse twitched its nose at the other thoughts. Non offensive. Hominoids are simply lesser evolved lifeforms... The mouse glances around curious. Shame... She was rather close to system failure. Fell right out of the sky... Could there be any ayurvedic medicinal flora about this planet that may assist in healing?

Lesser evolved, I thought with the notion of a frown. And I'm sure there is, somewhere around here. But we have no clue where we are. That's actually why we were sensing for other people; we were hoping we could find someone who knows.

You can join us if you want, Sesria added. We could look together.


((DMO's soul can try to influence DMO to join them since he/she can't speak to DMO directly. DMO will get the feeling of a little voice/conscience trying to push him to do something (what people think are consciences are actually souls, in my world).))

... Apparently they cannot hear. Shame. Should I approach then, or continue on searching for Ayakashi myself? The only experience I have with hominoids is that of the specialists at Area 51. Not very nice humans, no doubt. Might they be different...?

I'd like to think that we're generally nice people, I thought with the notion of a wry grin, picking up the alien creature's thoughts. We won't bite, I promise.

Of course, Sesria added, if you don't want to come, that's perfectly fine.

I tilt my head slightly. So one can hear? Carefully, glancing over at the body-less consciousness a second, I float out of the solar collectors and into the full radiation of the nearest star. I stop eye level with the one male, yellow eyes staring.
I try again, keeping my distance cautiously.

I spotted the alien creature in question, looking at it curiously. Funny...it almost looked like one of those...creatures in one of Izzy's videogame posters. What was it called...? Had something to do with hearts.

"Hello?" I asked.

Senet turned at my voice, following my gaze to the alien and tipping his head slightly to the side.

Apparently not still. My eyes blink to troubled half circles a moment, before giving a little...what do they call it...wave? in return.

Peter

"So, erm," I started awkwardly, "you wanted to look for your friend with us? Oh, and, uh, what's your name? Mine's Peter."

"I'm Senet," Senet introduced himself.

...Name...? Dark Matter Organism, as 51 had called me? ET, DMO...? Or as Aya calls me, Mo.
I decide is what they mean, still unsure if they hear me or not, unsure of how else to articulate it if they cannot.
