Jacob:
"In a world where it's my job to kill vampires and werewolves, nothing really shocks me anymore. So anyway, do you want to know what Machinae is?"

"What is it?" asked Andrew, tilting his head to the side curiously.

Jacob:
"Where I come from we are constantly at war with the vampires and werewolves. Vampires have most of Europe and Asia Minor, while Werewolves have the forests all over the world. Humans are constantly fighting them. We are losing, but we have a secret weapon. The Machinae. Machinae is Latin for 'of the machine' thats all anyone calls it anyway. The Machine. Anyway, the Machine is a device where a normal human walks in and and amazingly advanced super smart, super intelligent, and all around super human walks out. I am Machinae" I explain, "There are very few of us. We are strong, but not invincible. Take out our brains our spines or our hearts and we are dead, like any normal human. But, vampires and werewolves don't want to bite us for the same reason we heal almost instantly. Observe" I pull out my 9mm and shoot myself on my fore arm. A silvery blood oozes from the wound. Instead pf dripping to the ground, the blood flows back inside the wound and the wound mends almost instantly. "Our blood is a large stream of nanobots commanded by our on boars AI. We can only talk to our AI unless there is a computer or some other electrically fed screen available, then they can project themselves so all can see them. My AI feeds me any info I need, basically I have a super computer in my head. Any questions?"


(When I talked about his blood, think unicorn blood from the first Harry Potter movie)

"Yes," says Ventrix. "I have a question. What happens if you are caught in the blast of an aetheric explosion and rendered down to your constituent sub-atomic particles?"

Jacob:
"What I got from that is big explosion destroying my body. Jenna is trying to feed me some crazy definition. SHUT UP! We would die. Like I said, we are tough but we are still human. Kill our brain or our heart and we are done. The nano bots can't mend severed limbs anyway, not until we get back to base and are issued a new one"

"That's...complicated," said Andrew, looking utterly confused.

Liz sighed, shifting back into a human form. "He hasn't caught up with everything yet."

Andrew looked at Liz, "But I don't-"

Jacob:
"It is insanely complicated, but I don't care. I'm Machinae, my purpose is to kill Weres and Vamps end of story" I say shrugging.

Leslie

"Are you kidding?" I asked with a snort. "It's not complicated in the least. AIs, nanotechnology, what's not to get?"

Jacob:
"Exactly, the demon is correct!" I say gesturing at Leslie. "...Really?" I say talking to no one it seemed. "You're kidding me! Ugh! Fine!"

"We never said we didn't understand," said Ezra.

"Andrew's from a different century...he doesn't understand everything." Liz explained.

Leslie

"I'm from a different century, too," I said, putting my hands on my hips. "Hell, I'm nearly five times Andrew's age! The difference between him and me, though, is that I bothered to get with the program! What's your excuse, Andrew?"

"It's just...I don't get much of it. It's hard to keep up. I don't know how you do it," Andrew said, shaking his head.

Leslie

"I do it by being an intelligent individual," I told him flatly. "I study. Time doesn't move that quickly, you know!"

"I can't really read..." Andrew muttered, shifting uncomfortably.

Leslie

"So?" I asked. "You should have tried to learn! You have no excuse. Honestly, think about all the adaptions to the English language that I had to account for! But I did it. I bother with, you know, putting effort into things."

"I did try but I couldn't because I had to work. And after I died, I tried to teach myself but that failed. I'm going to school though, now."
