Luke: I closed my eyes, drawing a picture of her in my face. "Renata is something special. She's small, around 5'2 but her boo--erm, she has nice assets. She was one of the only people who didn't judge me for being an Artwood. She always defended me too, when we were twelve, she broke a guys ribs for me. Makes me look like a wimp, I know. She never used her powers in front of me, I both appreciated and resented that. I always have to be careful around her, she's really sensitive. That's Renata for you, caring, sensitive, and sweet."

Serena: I smiled at his "assets" flub. "So Renata is really special to you. Is she your girlfriend?"

Luke: I felt heat come to my face. "Yeah, she's special to me. No, she's just my best friend."

Serena: I smiled "That's nice. Do you have any other friends you can tell me about?"

Luke: I shrugged. "Yeah, there's Alecka and Sam as well."
Renata was my best friend but somehow that didn't stop me from having non-platonic feelings for her.

Serena:"How did you meet Alecka and Sam? Or Renata, for that matter." Now I was genuinely interested, besides the benefits of having something else to think about.

Luke: "Sure, hold on, give me a minute to remember."

Luke: I ran a hair throught my head. "I met Sam since basically the day I was born, he's my other best friend, despite he's two years older than me. It's a family thing really, the Artwoods and Tylers have been friends for two hundred years now. He's sort of an angry dude but he's my bro. I've met Renata since I was six, a lot of people made fun of me for being powerless but she didn't judge me and I recently met Alecka. She threw sand on my pinic food once, by accident but she wasn't too sorry about it. And that's it."
I grinned at Serena.

Wow, that was fail.
I'm still half-asleep

Serena:"Your past is so...interesting." I smiled, holding back a laugh. "I really don't have any funny stories, or else I'd tell you one, sorry."

Luke: I cocked my head to the side. "Nothing at all?"
I stood up and offered the girl my hand. "Let's get out of here."

Serena: "Where are we going?" I cocked my head to the side and took his hand. Well going somewhere else would get my mind off things, a change in scenery did wonders for the brain.

Luke: I grabbed her hand and started pulling her to the door. "Let's go get some ice cream."

Serena: "Alright...?" I allowed myself to be pulled to the door. My friends all thought I was crazy these days, so I was up for any sort of interaction with people besides my parents. They were, too, and even pushed me to go to the parties they knew would run over my curfew. They were desperate parents of a quiet and "disturbed" child, as the counselor had put my condition. I was the only one who knew exactly what was causing the noise in my head.
"I think there's a place just down the street."

Luke: I nodded. "That's good," I said, smiling. "In what city are we anyway?"

Serena: "Los Angeles, you didn't even know where you were?" I laughed. "They do say new yorkers have their very own sense of humor."

Luke: New Yorker? Did I sound America? I turned around to face her. "Sean was from New York. I'm from Papamoa, Bay of Plenty. That's in New Zealand."

Erin: I watch the two people talking about LA and New Yorkers. This place was so different compared to my home in Oregon. I feel alone without Will, but don't have the nerve to speak to these people.

Serena: "Oh, whoops, I'm getting all the stories confused. Blame the buzzing in my head." I saw some girl watching me, and got a little nervous, what if she was a spy for the scientists? That seemed irrational, but I was paranoid after what happened.
"Does that girl look...suspicious to you?" I whispered.
