As Darkness Falls

Alec ignored her comments. He wasn't going to stop now. The girl nodded at him contining on her way along the tunnel. "The exit shouldn't be that far ahead." She told them. Alec decided it might be better if he picked her up. "Sorry if this hurts you." He told her before he picked her up carrying her in his arms.

Laurel: I gasped and bit my fist to stop myself from screaming, years pricking my eyes "Alec please...." I moaned spftly

Alec shook his head. "You wouldn't leave me here so I'm not leaving you." He kept walking with her in his arms still feeling bad that he was hurting her by touching her leg but he didn't see any other way. Finally they came out of the tunnel. "Which way he asked the girl. The girl pointed to the right into the woods. "That out to get you to wherever you guys are hiding out."

Laurel: I closed my eyes and rested my head on his shoulder limply "I'm sorry" I murmered faintly

Alec thanked the girl before running off into the woods with Laurel still in his arms. He heard her mumble sorry. "there is nothing to be sorry about we are almost safe." He hoped that the girl would hold them off long enough for them to escape.

Laurel: "My fault we got captured in the first place" I murmered, fighting the blackness

Alec laughed, "It's not your fault. How could you have known someone would be there when we got back." He kept running as fast as he could trying his hardest not to drop her or trip over the ground. "I think we are getting closer just hold on." He was starting to recgnize the setting around him.

Laurel: "trying.....stay awake" I murmered, my head lolling

Alec picked up his pacing knowing that she didn't have much time before she passed out. If she passed out who knew if she would wake up again. Finally he saw the entrance to the well they had came from earlier to get to the lake they were swimming at. He dropped down placing her by the wall then climbed up to close the hole. "Hopfully we weren't followed." He picked her back up again then ran to the hideout. He was greeeted by people, they took Laurel out of his arms. "We will take it from here."

Laurel: My eyelids fluttered as everything strated to go dark

Alec tried to follow them as they took her away to the hospital they had set up, but they wouldn't let him go. He would only distract everyone by being there. Instead he waited out side of the huge tent pacing back and forth. If she not okay then it will all be my fault. He couldn't help the bad thoughts surfacing.

Laurel: I passed out (ff?)

(Yeah)
Alec still paced back and forth worrying about whether Laurel was going to live or not. One of the nurse's finally came out. "Is she okay?" The nurse held out her palms for me to shut up. "She has been stablized. Right now she is resting and will make an excellent recovery."

Laurel: I blinked my eyes open slowly, squinting

Alec sighed in relief. "Can I see her?" The nurse nodded and stepped aside. He walked into the tent to see her sprawled out on a cot. She didn't look so good. Her skin was the color of her white sheets. He came closer to the bed trying not look at her bandaged leg. "Your going to be okay."

Laurel: I frowned at him "You shouldn't have risked yourself for me" I said weakly

Aled smiled, "You would of done the same thing for me." He just knew that if there places were reversed he wouldn't have left him there to die.

Laurel: 'thats not the point Alec! You could have died saving me!" I said, trying to sit up

Alec pushed her back down. "You should rest. I'm upsetting you. Maybe I should go." He didn't want to go. No he wanted to stay and make sure nothing bad happened to her but she wouldn't let it go. He couldn't leave her.

Laurel: I flinched and took his hand "No...stay....please"

Alec nodded, he grabbed a chair and sat by her cot. "You know don't look so good." He smiled at her trying to lighten the mood.

Laurel: I grimaced "At least I don't have worry lines a foot deep" I grinned

Alec smiled, "Tou shay. I only just worry about you and everyone else." Maybe he shouldn't care so much but he couldn't not care. The last time he tried not to care many died.

Laurel: I blushed and
Took his hand "thankyou though....for not leaving me" I said spftly

Alec squeezed her hand gently, "Your welcome. You should probally get some sleep." Pulling his hand away he backed up. "I'll be back later."
