To Love Is Nothing

Liz: I laid my head on Jake's shoulder. "Maybe..." I hesitated. "Maybe if we got out of here, we wouldn't have to be." I bit my lip, hoping that wouldn't make things awkward.

Jake - "Maybe," I say. "You need some sleep," I comment.

Liz: Rejection hurt. "Yeah, goodnight Jake." I gave him a hug.

Jake - "Can I stay in here with you if I promise to be good," I ask giving her the puppy dog eyes.

Liz: "Okay, as long as you behave," I smiled and happily climbed into bed on the usual side I slept on.

Jake - I smile as I get into the bed on the opposite side and pull her closer to me, "Sleep tight."

Liz: "Have good dreams, Jake," I snuggled into Jake's arms and fell asleep with a smile on my face.

((next morning? lol))

((Yeah, let's bring Corrigan and Anastasia into it now))
Jake - I wake up with Liz still in my arms and I smile kissing her head.

Anastasia - I wake up in my bed not remembering how I got there.

((okay, this should be interesting...lol))

Liz: I felt something on my head...lips, and opened my eyes. I smiled. "Morning Jake, how'd you sleep?"

Corrigan: I woke up and remembered that today was when the first phase of Anastasia's escape plan would commence. That made me nervous. I got on my day clothes, then went down the hall to her room. "Anastasia..." I knocked on her door.

Jake - "I had the best night sleep since I got here," I winked, "and you?"

Anastasia - "Hmm?" I groaned rubbing my eyes.

Liz: I smiled and bit my lip. "Best night sleep. Ever."

Corrigan: "I wanted to check on what time you're going to town?" I said through the door.

Jake - "You're so cute," I say.

Anastasia - "Oh, I don't know, I haven't even talked to Alex yet," I say getting up and slipping on clothes. I open the door and hug him.

Liz: I smiled, sat up and stretched. Then I got up and changed into my clothes in the bathroom. I came out combing my hair. "Don't you need to get your clothes? Or are you wearing the same thing today that you wore yesterday?"

Corrigan: I hesitated slightly before hugging her back. "You know, you're still supposedly 'Alex's Property'."

Jake - "Oh," I laugh. "Be back." I hurry to get into some new clothes then come back, "Alright, want to go meet Anastasia? It is her big day," I say thinking of her plan.

Anastasia - I look up at him innocently, "I'm not allowed to hug a friend?" I smile.

Liz: I laughed. "We're making it sound like she's getting married or something, but sure - let's go if she hasn't already set out to see Alex."


Corrigan: I frowned, really? "Right, I'm a friend. Do you want me to come with you when you talk to Alex, or would you be better off alone?"

Anastasia - I bit my lip thinking, "You can come, please do," I say.

Jake - "Alright," I take her hand in mine.

Corrigan: "Are you sure? Because you might be more persuasive alone-"

Liz: "Anastasia!" I called out in a singsong voice when she came into sight. I ran up and gave her a hug. "We came to wish you luck."

Anastasia - I laugh slightly, "Thanks Liz!" I say. I look at Corrigan wondering what he was going to say before he was cut off, surely he didn't think I would kiss Alex to persuade him...

Jake - "Good luck!" I say.

Liz: "Well I guess you'll be off to the fourth floor now, make us proud!" I gave her one last reassuring smile before Jake and I continued down the stairs.

Corrigan: "Alright, are you sure you're ready for this?" I asked Anastasia, after the other two had left. "You can always wait a couple days."

Jake - "That went well, I could practically see the tension between Corrigan and her," I say.

Anastasia - "No, I can't wait, you heard Liz, I can't let her down," I say watching her leave.

Liz: "Yeah, now I'm nervous that Alex won't agree," I sighed. "What if he notices something is up?"

Corrigan: I nodded. "Okay, then let's not waste time." We started down the stairs to the fourth floor.

Jake - "She can do it," I say convincingly

Anastasia - I walk into Alex's room and see Nadia learning against the wall looking angrily at Alex. "Am I interrupting something?"

Nadia - I couldn't believe Alex would want me to be with Corrigan, that stupid telepath! He knew that I wasn't going to agree with that, "Not at all," I say to Anastasia.

Alex - "Is there something you needed?" I ask her, all my attention focused on her.

Corrigan: I heard Nadia's rude thoughts. "I agree Nadia, it's a terrible match." I smirked, and gave Anastasia the floor to ask Alex.

Liz: "I hope so," I squeezed Jake's hand nervously.

Anastasia - "Yeah, you go out on the town every day right?" I bit my lip nervously.

Alex - "Of course darling, why?" I wonder.

Jake - "I know so!" I tell her.
