To Love Is Nothing

Liz: "I just don't want you to get hurt," My voice cracked as I dissolved into tears. Stupid DeJaVu! Why did Fate have to pick me, out of the billions of other people?

Corrigan: "I know, but if might have to be. You'll just have to see how willing, or not, Alex is."

Jake - "I won't get hurt," I promise her, "I swear."

Anastasia - I buried my head in his chest, "Hopefully he's willing."

Liz: I just shook my head. "How? Do you have some kind of demony powers or something?" I lightened up a bit, though it was only a cover for the depression I'd slip into.

Corrigan: "Yeah...it's almost time for dinner. Better get ready."

Jake -- "I can protect myself," I tell her, "I just won't be able to live without you."

Anastasia - "See you after I get dressed," I say kissing him lightly.

Liz: "Yes you will," A far way look filled my eyes, and I stared into his lifeline "There's some other girl, someone you'll be just as happy with."

Corrigan: " 'Kay," I turned and headed back to my own room.

Jake - "NO LIZ!" I say. "I love you and no one can ever take your place!!!"

Anastasia - I find some half-way decent clothes from my shopping bags. http://www.alcohol-stuff.co.uk/images/pink-cocktail-dress.JPG I go out into the hall waiting for Corrigan.

Liz: I just sat on the ground and traced circles. Circles with striped and cross-hatched sections; the symbol of the DeJaVu. I sighed and felt like an invalid.

Corrigan: "Whoa," I breathed as my eyes opened wide at Anastasia's appearance. "You look gorgeous."

Jake - "Please don't do this,"I beg.

Anastasia - I blush, "It's the most modest thing i got."

Corrigan: "I can't even imagine the not modest ones, then" I murmured and went to kiss her. The last kiss before I handed her over to Alex.

Liz: "I need to go get ready for dinner, you should, too," I said, not able to meet Jake's gaze as I left to go get dressed.

Anastasia - We walked down the stairs to the dinning room.

Jake - I fell onto my bed. I was heartbroken. I wouldn't be going to dinner.

Liz: I got ready, only half-heartedly now, for dinner. Tonight would mean freedom...but did I want that? The black patch would be gone, and so would Jake. I went down the stairs and entered the dining room. Corrigan and Anastasia were there, but no Jake. I frowned.

Corrigan: "You ready for this?" I mumbled to Anastasia, but just then Alex walked in.

Alex - I stop when I see Anastasia, "My dear, you look beautiful," I tell her.

Anastasia- "Thank you very much," I say going to sit by him.

Corrigan: Kill me now? I sent into Anastasia's mind with a smirk. Yes, I could send messages. It just took extra effort.

Anastasia - I almost busted out laughing at Corrigan but held it in. "Alex, I was going to ask a favor of you."

Alex - "Whatever you want," I told her.

Liz: I picked at my food, not very hungry. It may have had something to do with the fight-type-thing with Jake...

Anastasia - "May I sleep in your room tonight?" I bit my lip, "My room is covered with shopping bags and the bed is not the most comfortable..." I complain.

Alex - I wonder what she is up to but nod, "Yes, you may."

Corrigan: Good.

Liz: Sounds like the plan is working, I sighed.

Anastasia - "Thanks," I smile.

Alex - "It's nothing a good friend wouldn't do," I tell her.

Corrigan: My eyes narrowed. A 'good friend'? He wanted more from her than that, but I wouldn't say anything.

Liz: "Excuse me," I pushed abruptly back from the table and ran up to my room, not letting myself cry until I was underneath my covers, in my bed. Then I let them all loose.

Jake -I heard Liz's cries and couldn't help myself I went to her. I held her without saying a word.

Anastasia - I watched Liz go, "Do you think she'll be ok?" I ask Corrigan.

Corrigan: I nodded "Jake will take care of her."

Liz: I sobbed onto Jake's shoulder until my eyes were dry of all possible tears. Then I just sat there, in his arms for a few minutes. But that made me feel like I was using him, when I didn't plan on keeping him. I wriggled out, and then rolled over on the bed, so my back was to him.

Jake- "Liz, please just look at me," I said.

Anastasia - "I hope so," I mumble.

Liz: I shook my head and shoved my face into a pillow.

Jake - "LIZ! Please, if you're going to do this then look me in the eyes," I beg of her.

Liz: I flipped over and looked Jake in the eyes, like he had asked. I had to at least give him that.
