"It's solid gold, what do you mean 'not much'?" I ask him, looking over at him with a frown. Sheesh, have some appreciation for my choice, it's not like you have the option of choosing differently...
A voice came from my other side, and I glance over annoyed at first. "Well lookie lookie. It's the little Missy," I greet, raising an eyebrow at her sudden arrival.

I eye the newcomer with annoyance, sighing just a little. How wonderful.
"Pipsquick," I said as greeting, otherwise dismissing her. Instead I turned my attention back to the item.
Solid gold... she had a point. It was worth something. I grudgingly gave her a small nod.
"I suppose it is a good item. Not very pretty, though. Melting it down might work... who wants some old piece of shit?"

Josie frowned at the greetings they gave her and looked around the room. "What are you guys up to?" she doubted they were here for educational purposes. They were probably here to steal something or other. She'd help, if they would let her. But with the way they treated her most days, they probably wouldn't let her help.
"I have news you guys might want to hear!" she chirped in a sing song voice. Josie hoped that they would at least let her help them, and then possibly share her intel.

"Yeah, kiddo? What's that?" I ask, still eying the mirror. We could still look around of course, see if something more exciting popped up, but I really liked this thing. And Sammy wouldn't melt this down if I had anything to say about it... There was some freaky stuff going on about it; I could sense it. Some weird energy that I loved, that I wanted to touch and feel.

I rolled my eyes, deciding it'd be best just to let her deal with the kid. I didn't really have the best patience with the sort. Instead I let my eyes roam around the room, settling on where guards stood and where the cameras were, without being too obvious about it, of course. I recognized the fact that if this was what she wanted it was probably what we were stuck with.
... although there was no rule that said I couldn't pick up a necklace or something when we were here later. Who knows how long Bullseye would be gone? A boy's gotta eat.

Josie looked up at them and played with the string of her balloon. "Well.... I heard all about this new team of of teen heroes. Do you guys know anything about them yet? My sources tell me that they are the ones who saved Michi Stark when she was missing. Did you guys know she was missing? Big things are happening out there. And I think we should take part in them! Make a name for ourselves. Do things besides petty killings or theft."

The girl loved to pretend to know everything, didn't she... "Michi Stark has Mr. Stark for everything she might ever want or need in the world, kid. Why would he trust children to save his lil' business heir? Your 'sources' are screwed up, missy." More like her mind's screwed up with an overactive imagination...or I might actually think that if she was actually a child. Which I know she isn't. She doesn't act like a child when she's older, she acts as she's supposed to, which always led me to believe the innocence was just an act. Unless some weird ass regression of mental age goes down or something in her shifts. Personally, it creeped me out how she could act like this one second and a seductress the next...

"Agreed," I said, wondering why she even thought we'd believe this. Pipsquick needs to mind her own business, in my opinion. "As I was saying, melting it down would be interesting. Who's interested in all this old crap anyways?"

Josie sighed and looked down. They never liked having her around, and she really just did want them to like here. At least, when she was in this form she wanted be accepted. "But my sources are relialbe.... Why dont you guys believe me?" She muttered softly, before looking at the ground. "I wouldn't melt that down. Its worth more on the black market with the way it is."

"Yeah, well," I snapped irritably. Honestly, if it wasn't for the fact we were scouting... well, I might have a had a few more interesting words to say. "Who asked you? I'm just stating it's not that pretty and might fetch a higher price if it was."
To heck with artistic value and historic crap. I'd personally rather have something that would shine or glitter.

I laugh at Sammy's shortness. "But, I know differently... That's why it's not happening," I say, giving him a sly smirk of 'I told you so'. "And why should we trust a girl who's power it is to lie? Whatcha doin here anyways?" Wandering away from that particular item, since I didn't really want to make it seem like I had picked so early, I go off to some other things to look at. My arm goes loosely around Josie's shoulders to make it seem more natural for us to be together. Just siblings or something to whoever cared to eavesdrop or notice us, not that I really thought people really cared about anything else outside of their privileged lives.

"My power isnt only to like," Josie mumbled. "It lets me get into places that you cant! And it lets me obtain informational otherwise unknown to the likes of us." She shrugged quincy's arm off and walked out of the room, into a dark shadow. When she emerged, sure that a camera or anybody hadnt caught her shift, she walked back into the room, without the balloon. She was now in her teen age form. "I seriously dont understand why you guys dislike me so much. Boo freakin' hoo, I may not tell the truth all the time. But why would I lie about a new team of heroes?"

"Not so much 'dislike' as 'royally creeped out and confused'..." I correct bluntly, frowning at her change. Growing an extra foot and a half in three seconds cannot be comfortable... "You do lie; we basically have no idea who you are. And I don't like people thinking they know me when they're still a mystery. And you're definitely not in on our lil' duo here when that's something to your advantage." I thumb back at Sam as the partner of 'duo'. We weren't heroes, that was the point. I was all too used to jackasses and bitches playing this game of trying to use me by playing friendzies then stabbing me in the back...

"Actually," I interjected. "I just don't like her. Nothing else to it."
I didn't see the sense in lying about that. I didn't like very many people, it took a lot to get onto that list of "like", which currently only held Bullseye, which wasn't a like as much as it was a fear and admiration, and then there was Quincy, which wasn't as much of a like as a "I don't plan on killing you" sort of thing.

Josie sighs and shakes her head. She looked around slowly, checking out the art pieces. "whether you like it or not, I'm telling you the truth. There is a team. A young heroes team. Stark put them together. And, I may lie, but you know everything that is worth knowing about me. I also never said that I knew anything about you, missy. You are still a mystery to me as well."

"Well you certainly act like you know everything about anything~" I reply to her in a babying tone. "You think the government would approve of a child soldier team? I mean Zell was mind boggling enough..." Wasn't that fun news back in the ol' days, a teenage sparrow goin around with the Hawk Man. Ri-dic.

It honestly didn't take that much to get bored of this conversation. The information was bogus, which meant either she was lying or her informants where. If I were her, gratefully am not, I'd find the one who told the lie and punish them for false information.
Still, it was an intriguing idea.
I turned my attention away from them, deciding to tune them out in favor of the art pieces that glittered. The jewelry was more my taste, nice and expensive. Not that her choice wasn't, just it was a)ugly, and b)not my choice.

Josie rolled her eyes. "I know a food amount. Remember, when you can look like anyone, sound like anyone, you can gain people's trust and get them to tell you secrets that no one else know, so very easily. I know you two don't like me, at least, he can't stand me," she pointed over to slingshot, "But maybe you should give the info a chance. Do some snooping of your own." She walked away from the othe two and went to go look at some pieces of art in that room. "I'm not asking you to team up with me, or even trust me. Just consider what I am saying and think about what it will mean for your future."

So she tells us she's so superb at getting into places...and then case en point, she says she gains trust by lying... And then she suggests we 'snoop' when we can't really blend in as well - or at least, Sam can't - so it's like she wants us to get caught? Not like I could zip in anyway while the Stark Building was off the grid. Nuh-uh, not cool in my book, chicky-lady.
And I wasn't really a future thinker anyway! More...what could be most exciting in that particular moment~ "Since you're so good at that, how about you go and report back, kiddo? See if these are just rumors or something we should worry our pretty lil' heads about. 'Cause for me, I just want this thing. And that's all I've got planned for my future. I dunno about you, but that's how I deal." Just one day at a time. That's how I grew up on the streets, not knowing if tomorrow would lead to you starving so ya might as well enjoy whatever little sliver of heaven ya got while ya had it today. That's how I live, it's not about to change at the drop of a hat because the little missy says so.

I couldn't help but continue to listen in on their conversation, frowning as I looked over the art. The conversation was starting to annoy me, fingers itching to drag out an item to take care of the pest.
"Patience," I muttered under my breath, walking the little distance back to them before raising my voice so I could be heard. "Tell me, are we going to look at the other exhibits or just hang in this place forever?"
Their conversation was boring. I'd rather stick a pin in my eye than continue listening to it. Teen hero's my ass.

Josie sighed. "Fine. I wont be able to change your opinion on this matter." She didnt move to leave though. Instead, she decided to stick around and see what happened. She could understand why those two wouldnt trust her. But were any of them actually trustworthy?

Re: Next Generation Avengers (marvel)
Name: Benjamin Parker aka Spiderboy (much to his annoyance)
Age: 17
Apprentice to: Spiderman
Original or fanon: OC
Appearance: Benjamin has an athletic look to him from all the sports he participates in along with his work with his father, but he's got that same slim build as Peter as well. His hair is a dark auburn, leaning more towards brown but with a red undertone.

"You have got to be kidding me," I said, groaning. "The game's on Friday, how the heck am I supposed to raise it between now and then?"
Dad shrugged his shoulders, eyes staying focused on the road. His hands were clinched tightly around the steering wheel as we coasted to a stop next to the museum.
"If you hadn't let it drop in the first place..."
"This one wasn't my fault!" I snapped, glaring out at the building. "How the fu-"
"Watch your language!" he cut in, most likely shooting me a dirty look to go with it. "You'll do the extra credit and turn it in. Then you'll see what else Mr. Valise has sitting around for you to do to get that grade up. If you want to play in that game then you'll get up the grade. No argument to it."
Scowling I opened the car door and got out, slamming it behind me. I'd only taken a few steps when I heard him roll the window down.
"And Ben?" he called out making me pause.
"Yeah?"
"Don't forget your worksheet."
I groaned, turning around and walking back to take it from him before heading into the museum. I ran my eyes over the list and noted the first exhibit I needed to see, Vikings. It was rather easy to find my way to it, and from then it was just the matter of locating the items it asked for. I'd just spotted a cup when a group caught my attention. They weren't exactly being quiet so it was rather easy to pick up on the conversation, especially with my spidey hearing.
... perhaps this trip would be a bit more entertaining than I thought.
Switching my attention to the group I kept my eyes on them, at the same time trying to look like I was looking at other exhibits. It was something I was pretty good at, Dad liked to send me in to check things out, said that I couldn't even mess that part up. Sometimes I was really, really tempted to.
Needless to say, I managed to keep from drawing attention to myself as I followed them and got my work done at the same time.

"Yeah, yeah, quit your complaining. To Greece~" I declare after Sam's little silent tantrum. Josie was tagging along, which I didn't really pay attention to. She could do whatever the heck she wanted as long as she didn't want anything from me.
