The Underground

Lionel felt as if he were a dream when he sat down, his back against the bed, and her being pulled down in his arms. No words really came to mind, but his wings decided to make their appearance. His dreamlike state noticed her soft hands against his torso, and sent a tingling state through him. He couldn't move his eyes from hers. Lionel moved his head to bend down.

Alexia noticed his wing which only made him seem more... Majestic?? She didn't know how to describe him as they slid down to sit against the bed with her still in his arms. She blinked and her hand slid up his chest a little. She leaned up a bit and took in every feature of his face. Took in every feature of him. She licked her lips and swallowed. Her heart sped up some more.

Lionel received a shock as her hand slid up his chest. He didn't know what exactly he was doing until he felt another pair of lips beneath his. Hers. His arms seemed to move protectively.

Alexis didn't know how it happened but they were kissing. She slid a weak arm around his neck as she kissed him back. She wasn't used to this kind of kiss. There was nothing sexual or primal about it- only sweetness and... What? She didn't know but she melted into him as her energy slowly drained more. She couldn't think or move or even control what she was doing, all she could do was kiss his soft lips.

Lionel's wings went to touch her back. He thought that this probably wasn't a good idea, since she was already weak, but he liked her. That pull that he had been wondering about rose in his chest. He enjoyed her sweet lips against his very much. For her safety, he slowly pulled away.

Alexia pulled back from the kiss slowly and lay her head on his chest. She still had one had sprawled on his chest and the other was slowly falling from his neck. She breathed heavily and looked up at him. She didn't know what to say, but she had really enjoyed that kiss.

Lionel breathed deeply and his arms loosened on her, but he didn't let her go. He looked into her grey pools again, only to be mesmerized. Lionel hadn't had many experiences with kissing and females, but he had a feeling that she enjoyed it as much as he did. His voice was a bit breathless as he spoke, "I uh...think you should...erm..rest."

Alexia nodded but still couldn't really stand up on her own. If anything, the kiss made her even more week kneed. She tried to stand and reached for the bed to lay down.

Lionel lifted her easily to the bed, wondering how long it would take her to recover. It was different for everyone, but it was worrying when she couldn't stand on her own. His presence didn't exactly help.

Alexia lay on the bed. She reached for his hand. " I owe you- and I can't forget about it. Its my tradition. I owe you. Big time." She was so tired again. She knew it was taking her too long to heal, the catcher had put Fae poison on the bullet and it was still effecting her.

((True, but we've just developed them more...))

Lionel remembered she had said something about owing him before. She had caught his hand before he could move much. "Well...if it's tradition, then alright." He didn't like people feeling as if they owed him generally.

Alexia nodded and slowly released his hand. She felt sick to her stomach as the poison continued to work its way through her blood stream. She noticed the veins in the back of her hand were turning black as she let go of his hands. She quickly hid her hand so he wouldn't notice. She hoped it hadn't reached her neck yet. If she didn't get home to get the antidote, she'd start puking black blood and die within a week.

"Um...the bullet thing wasn't specialised or anything was it?" Lionel didn't know if it was or not, she was probably just weak from the blood loss and all. Yeah. She didn't look well to him.

Alexia was about to answer when the nausea became too much. She fell out of the bed and crawled to a trash can as fast as she could. She barely made it before she puked black blood. "F... Fae... poison..." She got it out between barfs. It was a pretty small trash can and would get filled fast. When she finally stopped puking, she lifted her shirt enough to see her stitches. Around the wound was deep black and she could all but feel the poison coursing through her veins.

((By the way I have to work in the morning so it may take me a little longer to reply))

Lionel stood against the door, stunned. His wings turned a dark shade of grey from seeing the dark, sickly liquid. He could barely stand to look at the wound. He moved to get a bigger trash can from the kitchen, but his eyes only saw the poison. Lionel brought it back, falling back against the door. "What...can be...done?"

Alexia was having trouble breathing. "I have... the antidote... in my... apartment..." She gave him the address- which she didn't know was merely doors away- and the key. "Top shelf... kitchen cabinet... above... the sink..." She grabbed the trash can and puked again. "Please... hurry."

((I'm so sorry for just leaving))

Lionel hurried out of the apartment to find the antidote and didn't notice anything except his hands moving through the cabinets. He moved quickly and put the bottle in her hands.

((It's fine lol. School's been busy for me lately. I almost forgot about this lol))

Alexia held on to the bottle as tight as she could, which was pretty difficult considering how weak she was. She finished puking then struggled with the lid. When she finally was able to unscrew the cap, she downed the liquid as best she could. She still felt the strong urge to throw up but she swallowed it down. She hated feeling weak- but more than that she hated appearing weak. She had some sort of weird emotional connection to Lionel that she couldn't explain but she hated herself for being this way in front of him- which is completely illogical considering she couldn't control the fact that she was shot.

Lionel in his rush didn't think of opening it for her. That would have been helpful... He struggled to block off his power to read her emotions, but he really did not want to be inside her head right now. He said nothing to Alexia and sat near the doorway, just watching the event unfold. Lionel hoped the liquid would work quickly.

About two minutes later, the serum started working. She coughed and sputtered, taking a deep breath in. She knew what she looked like. The purple from the poison traveling up her body through her veins, against her sickly pale skin, until it reached her eyes, which turned purple before two purple tears fell from her eyes. She wiped them away and her skin turned back to it's normal, healthy tone. She took another deep breath before she realized that it most likely smelled fowl and she covered her mouth with her hand.

Lionel's eyes followed the purple until the tears came. She didn't feel tainted anymore. His wings turned his normal shade of grey. "I'm glad it worked." Lionel didn't even notice the smell from the vomit; he was just glad that Alexa was all right and she wouldn't die.

Alexia parted her hands enough so he could understand her when she spoke. "Thank you, so much. I owe you my life. If you ever need anything, or want anything... Just let me know." She looked him in the eyes as she spoke, heat rising to her cheeks but she didn't know why.

Again with the owing. Lionel shook his head, his eyes meeting hers. "I don't think I need anything." Somehow the statement felt like a lie, though he wasn't sure why. "Just rest and this will all pass." Lionel noticed pink in her cheeks and the corners of his mouth naturally formed a small smile.

She nodded her head, her cheeks growing redder at his smirk. Control yourself, Alexa she scolded herself. Weakly, she pulled herself up off the floor and made her way to the bed.
