Blood Mansion

James: I looked up and saw Kals new slave leaning against a tower. "huh, thats a new one."

Laila- "Yeah, I wasn to sure if thats the norm around here but aparently not. What do slaves usually do when they first get here?"

James: "Depending if its a first timer or not. First timers usually cower in fear and hide in there rooms...others are either respectful and follow orders, or get into as much trouble as possible."

"Generally, they're allowed a day to get used to things, then they're put to work," Drusilla answered, "Doing chores for your master, entertaining them, feeding them if they get hungry between meals."

Laila- "Sounds like fun."

"Doesn't it, though," Drusilla said, smiling sarcastically. She knew that most slaves hated being slaves. Hers did. Jacob hated her guts.


"Come, dear ones," Temperance said, standing up, "Circle Midnight wishes for a forest clearing for their gathering." The other wolves that had emerged from the trees followed her, but the old wolf sat, looking very tired. "Are you not feeling well again, Andros, darling?" Temperance asked gently. The wolf whimpered in reply.

Zoe- "Of couse," I said my voice dripping with sarcasm. "Now if you dont mind, I think im going to go have some fun while i can." I started walking toward the window.

Kal: I walked up the stairs, hoping I could cool off on the roof. I saw Anya sitting on the edge, looking away. Her again. I walked up a little. "Hey." I barely said.

(You don't have to change her.)

Anya: I turned to see him. "Hey." The night sky was beautiful, but i had a feeling that i might get into more trouble for being up here...if possible.

Kal: I sighed and sat down. "Are you doing alright?" I asked, trying to show more compassion.

Anya: "I guess." i shrugged, seeing a shooting star go past. My life was so messed up that i didnt even know what to wish for anymore.

Kal: "Okay, well I mean, not that you care but I guess I'm sorry." I said.

Anya: "I...I actually do care." I sighed. "I dont mean to act out...its just how i survive....I..Im sorry too."

Kal: "Really, you care?" I asked, looking at her incredulously.

Anya: "Believe it or not, i do care if my master is pissed at me or not." I sighed.

Kal: "Well, good to know. I'm not pissed at you, though." I said.

Anya: "Good." I sighed, standing up.

"You just lie there and rest, then, dear one," Temperance said softly. Andros gratefully lay down. Temperance turned and started walking in search of a suitable clearing for Circle Midnight to meet, sending the wolves on ahead of her. She stopped when she heard a growl and the snap of a stick.

Turning around, she saw a bear lumbering towards Andros. She let out a cry of fear for the wolf. The bear turned and charged at her. Temperance let out a scream.

Kal: "Where ya going?" I asked.

Anya: "Back inside," I shrugged, Sliding down the roof slightly, and grabbing the gutter with one hand. to stop myself. "Ya coming?"

Kal: "Yep, but I'm taking the stairs." i laughed.

Anya: "Have fun with taking the boring way." I laughed, swing down and going through an open window.

Temperance's scream would have woken the dead. But it only annoyed the bear, which roared as he charged. That wolf was almost dead, would have been an easy meal. The odd creature who had screamed smelled even more like death than the wolf, though. It was a simple choice for the bear. He would come back to the wolf later, get the other creature now.

Laila- I heard Temperance's scream and think for a quick minute. From what i've heard so far, she could be quite harsh, but could i just sit here knowing that she could die right now and i couldve stopped it? I decide, I'm not a vampire and never will be. I care to much about life. I follow the scream down the hall and out the door. What i see shakes me to my core.

The huge grizzly bear slammed Temperance into a tree. Even for a vampire, it was a hard hit. And, even though she looked to be in her late twenties - early thirties, she was getting on in years, and was one of the oldest of the Elder Coven.
