Landon sighed. "I don't know, I guess try and get here. It's just about all you can do unless you want to try and finish your mission."
"Landon? I need your help, he's sweated through the sheets again."
"Alright Karen, I'm coming." Landon sighed and turned back to the phone. "Just try and get here." He said and hung up.

Autumn smiled and shook her head, going back to the bathroom to brush her hair out.

Artemis buried her head in his shoulder. Back in the center, a lot of people had told her that, none of them had kept her word. "I'm sorry" she choked, feeling stupid

Blake frowned and tilted her head so he could see her face. "Nothing to apologize for."

Lana stared ahead of her for a moment before leaping into the air and heading back towards Ryder.

Drake smiled to himself, mentally making note to keep an eye out for a chapel like he had promised Autumn.

Artemis swallowed hard and pulled away, wiping her tear angrily "I missed you is all" she whispered

Blake nodded and took a deep breath to steel his nerves. "I had to take care of something. " he fingered the box in his pocket.

Autumn came back out and flopped onto the bed.

Landon lifted Ryder up so that Karen could change the sheets, and then set him back down once she was done. He checked his temperature again. It had gone up again.

Blake shifted nervously, "Artemis, I love you." He suddenly found some bit of confidence. Taking her hand he knelt down and puller out the box. Flipping it open smoothly he looked up into her beautiful eyes. "Will you marry me?"

Lana raced towards the house.

Lana reached the house and shifted as soon as she landed, close to passing out with exhaustion. She had traveled a days distance in three hours. Stumbling into the house she made her way to where she remembered the room to be.

Landon was sitting by the bed putting a cold rag to Ryder's head. He stood up upon seeing Lana and rushed over to her. "Lana! Are you ok? You look like hell!" He led her to a seat.

"No ***," she managed and pushed him away to kneel next to Ryder. "I feel like it." She took his hand and grabbed the rag taking over Landon's job.

Landon frowned and picked her up and set her on the bed beside him. "There. Now put the rag on his head, and keep your fingers on his pulse." He said and walked out the door. He figured that way if she passed out, she'd at least be somewhere comfortable and feeling like she was being useful

Lana did exactly as he said keeping.g her worried eyes on Ryder. She forced the idea of sleep from her body, she wasn't doing that until he was better. "Moron," she whispered. "You promised not to leave me."

Ryder stirred slightly, "Lana," he murmered and fell back asleep again.

Lana thought of her necklace. It wasn't what held mother shifter power she was given. Suddenly she realized she didn't know what it did. She pulled it off and examined it, life magic. It could restore life to someone dying. She felt a glimmer of hope and quickly slid it onto Ryder.

((I got an idea, the necklace will work unless its taken off, then he returns to the state he was in when it was put on him.))

Ryder felt a rush of energy enter his body. but it wasn't excitable energy. It was healing. He could feel it coursing through his body and healing everything inside.

((I thought that would be interesting later on...when they finally make it to the others, it would be a major weakness. ))

Lana leaned forward hoping it was working.

Ryder's eyes opened and he looked around, groaning slightly as he tried to move, his body sore.

Lana felt joy jump into her heart. "Ryder!" She threw herself on top of him.

"Ouf," Ryder groaned, but chuckled and wrapped an arm around her. "well, it's nice to see you too."

Lana gave him a long hug then sat up and smacked him across the face. Anyone with good hearing could hear that anywhere in the house. "Quit doing that to me!"
