Daughter of Darkness

Izzy looked annoyed and Mirissa's lip twitched. She really was a freak.
"Hey," Izzy said walking over to her. "Have a mental breakdown some other time."

Artemis flinched and stared up at the boy. She tentatively reached out to touch him. She gasped and snapped her hand out as she reached solid form (is he solid?)

(Yeah, he can control when he is or isn't.))

Izzy smirked, "Once again, I'm real."
Mirissa fainted.

Artemis glanced at Mirissa "she does that a lot, huh?" she asked izzy. She made her way over to her and poked her "you okay?"

Izzy wondered over as well. "Yeah, she exhausts herself easily."
Mirissa stirred a little.

Artemis sighed and poked her again "ello?"

Mirissa blinked and smacked her hand away softly, "Stop that." She rubbed the back of her head and Izzy laughed, "hit it?"
"Yeah." She grumbled. "You okay?" She asked Artemis.

Artemis helped her sit up, her lips twitching "me? I'm not the one who fainted" she raised an eye brow

"Yeah, well." Mirissa muttered.
"You're not the one who pretends not to be hurt so that the healed doesn't use too much energy." Izzy interrupted and Mirissa glared at him.
"I'm fine, you're annoying. " she announced then went to stand.

Artemis watched her cautious, just in case she decided to faint again

Mirissa stumbled to the door and Izzy shook his head. "Great." He muttered and pulled Artemis into the shadows. "She's in one of those moods."
Mirissa pounded on the door. "Hey morons I'm hungry!"
Izzy wrapped Artemis in the shadows so they wouldn't be seen.

Artemis began to shake and clung to Izzy "Mirissa, what are you doing?!?!? stop it!" her voice was quivering

One if the guards poked a head in. "Are we doing this again?"
Mirissa shrugged, "up to you. I'm hungry."
Izzy shook his head and sighed.

Artemis tugged on izzy, clinging to him with dear life "what is she doing?"

James looked up to the ceiling, but forgot about the light and was nearly blinded. Stupid! Why would you look at the stupid friken light? He winced and opened his eyes

Jake smirked but stayed silent.

"The guards don't feed her too often." Izzy whispered. "This started awhile back. She'll get into these moods and look for trouble. She uses the food as an excuse. This usual ends with her getting dragged to the head's office.
The guard grinned wickedly, "Really?"
"Yeah." Mirissa replied impatiently.

Artemis stared at him in horror "None of us get fed, we still need to stop her" She reached our with her mind and touched the girls softly "Mirissa, hush now. Stop it. you can have my rations, please, just stop"

Penelope nodded her head. "I guess we should go then..."
She began to walk towards the door, waiting before she left for her brother. "Come on, Joesph."

Joesph bit his lip, he couldn't take it anymore. Seeing them, seeing Penelope, seeing himself...all in this pain.
"I'm not going."

Izzy shook his head, "you didn't listen. She's just looking for a fight. Food's the excuse."

The guard leaned against the door. "Well, you know what the head said last time."
Mirissa rolled her eyes and ignored Artemis. "Do I look like I care?"

Jake narrowed his eyes. "What'd ya say boy?"

"She's lost it! why? Mirissa!" artemis exclaimed, stepping out around izzy and lightly placing a hand on the girl shoulder "please" her voice became pleading

Penelope stared at Joesph, what had he done? "Joesph, please--"

Joesph's anger got the best of him, but it was too late. By the time he began to regain his senses, he had already sent a wave of energy towards Jake, trying to push him out of the cell and open the door. He let everything he had in that energy wave, he was almost too dizzy to even stand up again after it. "I'm not a kid, boy."

The guard glanced at Artemis with amusement.
"New friend?"
Mirissa sighed, "Yeah," she gave the guard a shove ignoring his look. "We'll have to talk later." She shoved the door shut behind him.

Artemis's shaking was replaced with anger "what was that about?!" she shook the girl, hoping to knock some sense into her "you just wanted to get beaten, didn't you?!" she demanded

Jake narrowed his eyes, slowing time. (I did tell you he could do that right?)) He quickly stepped around the energy and knocked the boy(Joseph) to the ground. His hand on his throat. Time resumed. "What did you say boy?" He repeated deadly quiet.
