Appearance: Shaggy red hair, small but muscular. Deep sea blue eyes. Perfect porcelain colored skin.
Power: (I'm not sure if he has one or not)
Anything extra: He's a guard, also Mirissa's twin brother.
Marked or not: For now, no. (I'm not sure yet)

Artemis felt herself slide down the wall to the ground, her limbs shaking. That was close "what is your ability?" she asked, her voice sharp

Mirissa glanced up, "I can control the shadows, talk to them. I can even bring them to life." She looked around sadly, "But this isn't much of a life so I don't do that often."

Artemis eyed her. Maybe the girl wasn't the crazy one, maybe it was here. Control the shadows? "that's... Unique"

Mirissa shrugged, knowing that believing that she did what she said and wasn't crazy was hard. "They have a mind of their own though, so in incidences like the one that just happened I'm not in control of how they react, its my emotions." She smiled at Artemis, "what do you do?"

Jake stood outside the cell door, unable to figure out if he should go in. He finally weaseled himself onto her guard and now he couldn't even let her know it was him. What was wrong with him? He stared at the door for a few moments and laid his hand on the handle.

Artemis shrugged and raised a hand, lifting them both into the air with her mind and setting them back down. She didn't bother telling her about her about her other 'gifts' must people didn't react well to knowing their thoughts were no longer secret around her

Mirissa's widened, cool. "Thats pretty cool." She said aloud.

Jake took a deep breath and opened the door. Suddenly afraid of her recognizing him he flipped the light switch then backed into a corner of the room.

Artemis shrugged once again and froze as the door opened and a guy slipped in. "who, who are you?"

Jake couldn't bring himself to speak, as Mirissa was looking around desperately trying to see.
"Who is it?" She asked finally able to locate the remaining echo of his movements.
Jake froze, he couldn't tell her, he just couldn't.

Artemis tensed, her eyes flashing between the two. "ah.. Red head.. Guy.. "
Jake , she heard him think, his thoughts sounding desperate.
"named Jake?" she dwindled off.

Mirissa froze as Jake winced and shot the girl a dirty look.
"J-Jake?"
Jake winced again and back towards the door, maybe now wasn't the time....

Artemis tensed, sick of the prison guard games. She reached out with her mind and held the door firmly closed with her mind. " who's Jake?" she snipped, her nerves raw

Boss is almost here, will be on on and off till 5 est

Mirissa felt a tear in her eye, "My brother, my twin brother." Jake winced again, his eye on the door. "He was normal so they left him alone when I got stuck in here."

"so what? Now he amuses himself by being one of our personal tormentors?" she accused, glaring at the guy. She reached out with her mind, flicking off the light switch. The guy seemed to like it on and she preferred the darkness anyway, kept her hidden

Mirissa gasped as her vision came flooding back. "I-It is you!" She glared at him, "Why are you here Jake?"
Jake felt some guilt, but also anger.
"Why else would I be here? I was looking for you." He glared at the other girl. "I wouldn't torment any of you, but how else was I spose to get clearance to get into these cells?"

Artemis narrowed her eyes, not believing him. This was probably another trick

Jake sighed, "Look-, " he broke off as a guard caller his name. "I've gotta go." He darted toward the door and tried it. "May I please go?"
Mirissa just stared.

Artemis stared at him for a moment, unsure "the guards aren't easily fooled.. they only let the cold hearted ones deal with us.. you say you haven't hurt one of our kind before, but i'm not so sure. You're either lying to us, or them" venom fill her voice at that word. She stared him down for a moment more before finally releasing her hold

Jake gave her another look before darting out the door, Mirissa fainted.

Artemis sighed and scooted closer to the girl, gingerly poking her arm "you okay?"

Mirissa stirred a little.

no response means yes? Artemis frown and resorted to gently shaking her "ello? sleeping beauty? Wake up, no prince is coming and the guards hate unresponsive prisoners" she patted her cheek "wake up"

.Mirissa pulled herself up, Are you alright? asked the shadows. should we dispose of that boy?
She shook her head. "I'm fine she said in response to both them and Artemis.

Artemis nodded, pulling away and scooting back into the comfort of her dark corner "is he really your twin?" she asked, her voice strained
