Daughter of Darkness

Mirissa closed her eyes and called the shadows to her. She sent them along the halls around her to help search for a way out. Then she ran to catch up with Jamison. "Do you think there's anyone left to free?""

Kale shook his head. "Nah, see? Hear that?" He smiled. He could hear doors being unlocked, Jamison yelling about resistance. "We found em. Come on Artemis, don't you want to see the sun?"

"I'm not sure, how far do these tunnels streach?" Jamison asked after rousing the crowd of people.

Mirissa frowned, "Miles....."

Dani struggled to her feet and over to Mason. "Hey, wake up." She said shaking him.

Artemis froze. the sun? no. the sun was bright. the sun held no shadows to hide her. the sun was not safe. she refused to budge, ice cold fear filling her.

Drake groan and clutched his family jewels, apparently someone had landed a kick there. ouch. "what?"

Dani pouted, still shaking a little from when Kale shot her. "They're escaping.."

Drake snarled, his pain forgotten when he realized his favorite experiment was getting away "well what the hell you doing?" he snapped, "let's go get them!"

Jamison nodded as he looked at them and pursed his lips.
"You guys take this group up, I'll go get the others." Kale said and placed a gentle kiss on Artemis's cheek as he grabbed the keys and took off before anyone could protest. Jamison sighed and frowned but shook his head. "Come on, let's go." He gently led Artemis forward and took Mirissa by the hand and they took up the head of the group, leading them towards the surface.

(I made a charrie awhile back named Celia, she's in one of those cells. )

Dani frowned, "Well excuse me for getting shot with the stupid gun you just left lying about. For them to find."

Mirissa followed eagerly. Sure she wasn't happy about being blind again. But to be out and free. She could handle the blindness.

Artemis stiffly followed them out, not liking the prospect of the sun. She liked the dark. And did kale just kiss her?

Kale continued to run down the tunnel, back to the four way. He bit his lip and dashed down one of them, opening cells as he went, ushering them out and to the four way cross. He then directed them to the right tunnel, using a torch to flame the side, then made a small nick that no one besides him would see if the first was to be trampled. He then ran down another tunnel, letting the prisoners out. It was the last of the tunnels. At the end, he found a girl in a cellblock all huddled in the corner. "Come on!" He called to her.


Jamison continued to pull them along, flattening any gaurds that tried to stop them.

Celia glanced, frightened but obedient. She pulled herself to her feet and followed the stranger.

Mirissa continued with Jamison and Artemis.

((Ella, did you see Dani's reply to Drake?))

Drake growled. "I was over come by them, where the hell did they go?" he stopped smelling smoke "shit!" he cursed dashing out of the room. it was on fire! his precocious baby was up in flames!

Kale grabbed the girl by the hand and hurried her along, following the large crowd, helping those that fell behind. "GO! GO! GO!" He shouted, forcing everyone, including the girl, ahead of him.

((I think it would be fun if Kale got caught...just sayin))

Jamison made it to the gate finally, bending the metal he smashed it in and threw it at the on coming gaurds. He then put Mirissa's hand in Artemis's and told her to run, shoving her towards the top, and guiding the others through the opening.

Dani sighed and followed him. This wasnt any fun....

Mirissa held onto Artemis as tight as she could, unable to see a thing but black shapes moving all around them.

"Find Jamison, Artemis, and Mirissa alright?" Kale told Celia. "They'll take care of you." He shoved her into the crowd and they swept her away, leading her up towards the entrance.

Jamison continued to direct the crowd, helping anyone who fell or got left behind.

((I just think it would be interesting xD give it a sort of twist))

Artemis regained her courage, realizing everyone was depending on her. She held Mirissa tightly, leading her.

Drake snarled, spotting the boy. he pulled out his tranq gun and shot him

Dani giggled and ran forward. "Can I play with him later?" She asked Drake.

Mirissa continued to cling to Artemis.

Celia was caught up in the crowd.....

Drake grinned and kicked the twitching body "you can play with him now if you'd like"

By the time Kale had fallen, everyone else was already up the tunnel.

Jamison hurried the rest of them through the gate, making sure he got everyone. He waited to see if Kale was coming, but didn't wait long. He couldn't risk it. He put the gate back inplace, locking them all on the outside, and ran to catch up, helping those who fell.

Dani giggled, "Yey! " she grabbed whole of his collar and dragged him towards her normal 'playroom'. She managed to chain him to the wall that was still wet with Jamison's blood. Grabbing the cow prod from the cart that was still.in the room she turned it on and stuck it to his chest to see what would happen.

Artemis stumbled along, too much in shock to really notice or care about the warmth of the sun on her back as they fled

Kale barely stirred.

Jamison got everyone out of the city and into the woods where they were out of the King's area of rule, where the law could not touch them. He found Artemis and Mirissa. "You two alright?"
