Demarco crinkled his nose. "My dad named me. I can't stand my dad. I plan on changing my name after I turn eighteen."

Mai paused before nodding her head. "My father...was murdered seven years ago. I do not remember much of him. I never had a mother, seeing as she died giving birth to me."

Demarco blinked and rested a reassuring hand on her shoulder. "I'm sorry."

She looked at him, her blank face giving nothing away as far as her surprise at the contact. "...Why?"

"Well, he was your dad..." Demarco said hesitantly.

Mai stared at him. "Yes. But you have no reason to be sorry. You had no involvement in his murder."

(Lol, poor girl. She took him differently than he intended. xD)

Demarco blinked. "I wasn't- never mind." He smiled a small smile and looked at her.

For a second, her demeanor cracked and she looked at him with a face full of priceless, almost child-like confusion, then she blinked, and was blank again. "All right, I suppose."

Demarco smiled. "So, has Yami warmed to me being yet?"

She nodded, petting the large wolf who was now drifting off to sleep with his head in her lap. "Fairly."

She paused at the comment, thinking of how odd it seemed before simply letting it go. For several minutes she felt him staring, so her gaze shifted away, suddenly uneasy. "I was born this way."

Xavier broke into a huge grin and laughed softly. "Good."

Victoria shruggedd. "Because I dont want you or your brother to get hurt."

Rei nodded with a light blush. "We're going to be parents..."

"I cant believe it." Xavier chuckled and put his lips to hers.

Demarco smiled. "Well, that's good."

Gabriel chuckled. "We're used to getting hurt. It's no problem."

"It is for me." Victoria said looking down biting her lip.

"Don't let it bother ya." Gabriel watched her.

Victoria nodded and heard someone in the bushes. She pulled out her glass knife and crouched low. "Get down." She hissed and Gabriel.

Gabriel got down low. He looked around.

Victoria waited and jumped on the guys back. He was one of the ones looking ffor her and she killed him quickly. She turned so she couldnt have to smell the blood.

Gabriel blinked.

"Lets go." Victoria said with difficulty. "Can you run fast and carry me so I dont go after his blood?"

Ashton stood there, frozen. His gaze was still locked onto where Alice had been not a moment before, eyes going from blank, to livid with fury in a matter of seconds.

He snarled, using the fire in his system to locate Alice's own body heat, racing after her.
