Karma: "Bad karma can range from what I did to Laila, to just a small, small pain or misfortune. Like a paper cut. Depends on what you do to earn it. And who decides what's positive or negative? Why, us of course, the Council of Mythics!" I cackled.

Eric- "Does the Council of Mythics take bribes?" I ask, trying to get my way out of this.

Karma: "Of course not," I snickered. "How would that teach anyone to make the right decisions? Or the wrong ones."

Eric- I shrugged. "Maybe some people are just meant to make wrong decisions."

Karma: "Did you not hear the last part? Karma helps some people learn to make bad decisions. Personally, those are my favorite people."

Mikey: "I told you guys to stop." I muttered. Seems like they weren't listening to me. After all, it was my fault this mess was started.

Karma: My head snapped to Mikey. "I don't take orders from anyone but Fate."

Mikey: "Look, I'm sick of the fighting. If you have a problem with me, take it out on me."

((has she tortured him yet?))

Karma: "Very well," I gave him the same treatment as Laila had gotten: His worst memory played over and over and over before his eyes.

Mikey: She was doing her work. My worst memory, as if I even had one that could qualify as the worst, kept playing back in my mind. The day I killed my parents. I wanted to scream, but I held it in. I couldn't let her see my fear.

Karma: I cackled "I can already see your fear child, for I can see your thoughts. You will have a painful death, in exchange for the one you gave your parents. This is just a taste, is all." I snapped my fingers and the memory evaporated.

Mikey: "I've already had a hard life, so I don't care what you do to me."

Karma: "I won't be the one killing you," I cackled with a smirk.

((k, so obviously you're the writer. I don't actually know if he's going to die or what, since I haven't read your book. lol. But these are the sort of things Karma sees, so...))

(He does end up dying at the end of my story, so he does have death coming for him.)

Mikey: "Oh, so you think it's funny that I'm going to die?"

((okay, hah, I just didn't want you to feel like I was power-playing))

Karma: "Mortal life is a disposable thing, you can cry over it or you can laugh over it. Either way it's gone. I choose to laugh," I shrugged.

Mikey: "You are surely morbid, aren't you?"

Karma: "That is another matter of opinion, perspective, and view. It really all depends," I swung my legs back and forth, as they hung over the age of my large boulder.

Mikey: "Yeah. . .I guess you are right."

Karma: "Or am I?" I cackled again, mortals were so easily confused.

Laila- "What are you talking about?"

Karma: "You should have been paying attention."

Mikey: "Mortal, huh? Then how come I can't die even if I get completely engulfed in fire?"

Karma: "A mortal, to me, is anyone with a lifeline. You have a lifeline, therefore you are a mortal."
