Corals eyes widened and she scrambled into his arms, "daddy" she sobbed, gripping him tight

Seph's arm wrapped around her, his gaze not leaving Dani. He opened her cell, letting her from the chains and opening his arm to her like he did to Coral.

Dani watched for a moment and smiled, then told him what happened. Leaving our the fact she discovered she was a freak. She ended by giving perfect directions to the house.

Gabrielle finally stirred, she startled for a moment, feeling a body besides her, but quickly relaxed once she realized it was Peter. She turn to face him

Peter was still awake, his eyes glued to the ceiling. He barely noticed her waking till she moved to face him, though he didn't look at her.

Seph gave a small nod and held them both.

"you okay?" Gabrielle whispered

Dani clung to him, letting herself stay in his arms. This kinda of thing was rare, and didn't last long. So she would take all that she could.

Seph walked with them to his office, bringing them inside with him.

Peter looked down at her and gave a half smile. "Yes. Just watching out for you." He murmered.

Gabrielle muzzled her face into his chest, the action foreign to her, but it brought her comfort anyway "you could have slept, I saw him coming in daylight"

"I know." Peter murmered as he rubbed her back gently, taking a deep breath and holding her close. "I just didn't want to take any chances." he kissed her forehead. "Didn't want to miss a moment."

Coral clung to her father, tears streaming silently down her face as he led them in. She refused to let go, fear ruling her

Gabrielle sighed and nodded her head, not fighting the concept "where are we?" she looked around

"The place I grew up." Peter looked down at he quietly. It's more than a day's journy from the place where the telepath and shadow girl were."

Gabrielle found herself clinging to him, "a day? how long have we been traveling?"

Peter looked down at her. "We've been travling for about a day." He said as he watched her, rubbing her back gently. "We can start out again when you're ready. I know a place that's about two days journy from here."

Gabrielle didn't answer, a thought eating apart her insides "peter?" she whispered "are you... are you just with me for my body?"

Gabrielle shivered at his touch and swallowed hard, turning away and trying to process it all

Peter watched her for a moment, then returned his gaze to the empty space around them.

"I'll be back." Peter quietly and gently got up and off the bed, and went outside. He could only stand being in that house for so long, and he had just reached his limit. "
