The Royals (based off of my book)

Alice pulled back and sighed. "The knight... he... i do not know what to do.." She whispered. She didnt want to break his heart but she.. liked him.

Samuel couldn't keep away the small frown that formed on his lips. She was his... or at least he had thought. His heart broke slightly and he looked away, not able to form a coherent thought let alone word.

Alice moved from him. "Fine then... i guess our love will not be." She murmmed. "Sorry for intrupting your work sir." She said grabbing her sketchbook and went to leave.

Samuel didn't move for a moment, but then he stood and ran after Alice. He grabbed her arm, trying to stop her from going. "A-A-A-A-Alice," he stammered. He could feel his heart break and he hoped with all his heart that what they had started wasn't over.

Alice looked at him. Tears stung her eyes and felt them run down her cheeks. "What?"

Samuel watched her for a second and cupped her face, wiping away her tears. He leaned closer, his lips meeting hers. He kissed her deeply and stroked her cheek, hoping she would give 'them' another chance. He didn't want to say goodbye...

Alice dropped her stetchbook and pulled backfrom the soft kiss. "Okay.." She whispered a small smile formed on her lips. Shekissed him this time with the same soft touch.

Samuel pulled her closer and deepened the kiss, relief flooding him. He was thrilled that she was giving them a chance.

Alice finally pulled back and looked back at the castel... I have to go... and meet the knight... but while I am with him I will be thinking of you... I must figure out my desteny..."

Samuel nodded. "Alright, love," he said. He kissed her forehead gently and offered a smile. "Just never forget that I love you... With all my heart, Alice."

Alice blushed a deep scarlet. "I know..." She kissed his cheek and went to meet James. She changed into a beautiful white dress with a comb in her hair. She walked down to the courtyard and waited.

Samuel watched her go and sighed. Someone of higher power came out and started yelling at him for not working so he quickly went back to work.

James quickly got ready to meet Alice and once he was ready went to meet her. When he saw her his breath was taken away and his heart starting racing. He smiled and walked over to her. He bowed and kissed her hand.

Alice did a awkward cutrsy.(Sp?) She blushed faintly at the touch of his lips. Her heart was still beating fast from when she was with Samuel. She sighed and thought about something. "How did you fair today?"

James smiled and stood up straight. "I was fine today. How did you fair, Miss Alice Bride?" he asked curiously. His heart raced every time he saw her and he realized something; he was in love with her. He would have to tell her, he had no choice.

Alice smiled and said "Very well... Nothing big really happened.. I just needed to go to the barn and draw a few things for my class." She said looking at him.

James smiled and watched her as he listened. "Well that's good. What did you draw?" he asked curiously. As he watched her, his heart beat faster then normal in his chest.

Alice laughed and siad "I drew a rose...." She said laughing. She thought about Smauel and blushed a deep scarlet. She loved him and she knew it...

James smiled. "I bet it was beautiful." He took in a deep breath and looked down. "Alice, I need to tell you something..." He trailed off, his head spinning. He had never told anyone what he wanted to tell Alice, nor had he ever felt the way he felt about her.

"Yes?" Alice asked looking at him. She thought about the circumstances of him saying I love you. She looked at him with a new interest.

James looked up, his heart beating nervously. A small lump formed in his throat and he swallowed it. "I love you, Alice Bride, more than I've ever loved anyone before..." He watched her, his palms sweating and his heart starting to go crazy.

Alice looked at him and her heart stopped. She closed her eyes. She didnt know how to repsond.

James watched her, waiting for an answer, any kind of an answer even if she said she didn't care about him like that. He started to feel his heart drop and he looked down, biting back tears that were starting to form behind his eyes.

Alice soon saw his tears. Her heart broken and she stood on her tip toe and kissed him. Her lips moldeded against his and she pulled him close to her.

James was surprised by the kiss, but pulled her closer and deepened it. Somehow, somewhere deep down inside of him, he knew that she didn't love him. He also knew that her love was possibly saved for someone else...

Alice pressed the kiss deeper. She knew that she loved him somehow. She needed to show him tha she did. Yes she loved Samuel but she did love James.
