A Midnight Swim

Jace chuckled and sighed contently. He closed his eyes and sighed. Soon he felt himself drift off wit hher in his arms.

holden smiled softly. "Well why dont you talk then?" She said. She sat back in the booth and folded her arms around herself. She was interested about him.

Kami after a while soon heard a soft snore come from him. She smothered a chuckle. She can't believe he fell asleep. She wasn't sleepy so she layed listening to his breathing. Next thing she knew it a crash of waves woke her and Jace up.

Bryce smiled, "Okay well I work in this place for living, my sister is a compelte pain in my but, and I have no idea what I want to do with my life."

Jace woke up and jolted right up. "WHAT THE HECK?!?!" He sighed and coughed out water. He looked over at her. "Are you okay?"

Holden nodded and shifted her weight. "So.. why dont you know?" She asked looking at him with a small smile.

Kami layed on the ground laughing. She couldn't believe they fell asleep on the beach and I guess nature wanted to wake them up.

Bryce shrugged, "Well nothing ever stuck and plus I have my sister to think of. I can't be a painter like I used to want to do. No one would be hear to take care of her."

Jace chuckled and looked at her. "Well that was a beautiful wake up call." He chuckled. HE sighed and looked down at his wet clothes.

Kami tried to control her laughing, "Well since were already wet. Want to go swimming?" She was glad that she waore her bathing suit under her clothes. She doubted that she wanted to swim in her underwear in front of jace though she figured he would like it.

Jace chuckled and shrugged. "I guess." He took off his shirt and went in. "COME IN!!"

Holden nodded. "I wanted to be a artist... people told me I was good but.. im not..." She said looking down. She started to think about other things.

Kami took off her shorts and tank top then dove in the water. She came up screaming, "Oh my gosh its COLD!." She swam around a little trying to make herself warmer.

Bryce asked, "Can I see any of your art work?" He was curious to see how good she was.

JAce chuckled and laughed. "TO BAD PRINCESS!!!" He said before tackling her and laughing. He kissed her cheek.

Holden shrugged and pulled out her sketchbook from her Black Veil Brides bag. She handed it to him. "See what you want.."

Kami laughed and could feel heat rise in her face from her blush. Why was she still acting like this even after they just made out. For someone she barly knew he could sure make her be herself again.

Bryce took the sketch pad, flipping through the pages he saw talent. She was acctually really good there was work that needed to be done but other than that she had a natural talent. He paused at a picture of of a women. "This your mom?"

Jace pulled her underwater with him and then they popped back hum. He chuckled and twirled her in the water. "Dance with me?" he asked.

Holden looked at the picture and nodded. Sadness filled her eyes and her heart acked. "I drew that... after she died.. I was afraid to forget her..."

Kami laughs, "In the water? Your crazy I already have two left feet." She was telling the truth somehow she inherited the bad dancer gene.

Bryce felt bad for bringing her up, "I'm sorry I didn't meant to upset you." He looks down at the picture and can see the resemblence between them. "You look like her you know."

Jace shook his head. "Here let me help you." He lifted hrer up so her feet were on his and they began to dance.

Holden shook her head. "Its no trouble... I know... we were good friends I guess but I was a rebel and she wanted order..."

Kami felt like she was gliding. "This is great." She looked into his eyes smiling. She kissed him on the lips.

Bryce nodded he knew how that was, "I used to go against my parents all the time they would get so mad." He smiled at the memory. He missed them a lot.

Jace smiled under the kiss and pulled her closer. The waves were thier music andthey danced until the moon was high in the sky. "Are you tired?" He whispered.

Holden nodded. "They wanted me to be a girly girl and I am defentaly not a girly girl." She said sighing. HEr head was starting to spin.

Kami felt wide awake but that could be the adreniline of the cold and of his kiss talking. It could soon wear off but she didn't feel like leaving. She shook her head. "Who needs sleep?"

Bryce nodded he looked around and saw that his table needed him. "Sorry got to go take care of them but in five minutes my shift ends want to go somewhwere.?"

Jace chuckled and nodded. "I agree!" He said and he dipped intothe freezing ocean. He laughed and pulled her back up.

Holden looked up and nodded. She took back her sketchbook and stated to draw him. The way his eyes and lips looked and the way is hair fell.

Kami shivered still not entirly used to the water. "You would think the water would be wamer because it summer."

Bryce reluctently left her to go wait on his tables when he was done he clocked out and came back to Holden. "What are you doing?"

Jace shook his head. "Nott really..." He chuckled. "It doesnt work that way."

Holden looked up and slammed her sketchbook shut. "Nothing..." She said looking up at him. "Nothing at all..." She said putting her sketchbook away.

Kami pouted, "Why not?" She was only just messing with him she knew how nature worked. Kami loved the water even though it was freezing.

Bryce raised his eyebrow, "Okay? Well are you ready to go?" He wondered what she was drawing buit he didn't want to be rude and snatch it from her.

Jace chuckled and said"Because the ocean god would not alow it to be cold. Because of the all the hot girls." He chuckled and looked at her.

Holden shrugged. "I dont care..." SHe said this not trying to be rude bbut because she really didnt know. She sighed and looked at him. "What about you?"

Kami burst out laughing, "Do you tell all the girls this?" She was starting to get used to the water it became relaxing.

Bryce left with Holden they walked down the boardwalk in the dark. "Wow look the moon is big tonight." He always had a certain fasination with the moon he never knew why.

Jace nodded then shook his head. "No of course not." He winked at her. She was easy to flirt with and easy to talk to.

Holden nodded and took Bryce's hand and led him ontop of one of the games. It was a huge building and she took out her sketchbook. She began to draw the moon.

Kami raised her eyebrow, "Sure. " She stuck her tongue out at him. From the shore a voice called and a light shined in their eyes. It was a cop, "You guys need to get home its past curfew."

Bryce watched her draw the moon he wished he had half the talent she did then he wouldn't think art was a waste of his time.

Jace chuckled and pulled her out. "Thank you for informing us..." He said nodding towards the cop. He gave her her clothes and he took his.

Holden looked at him and started to draw him in the moonlight. She captured everything and it was beautiful. She smiled at herself. She drew the soft shape of his eyes and smiled. THe moonlight made his eyes shine.
