As Darkness Falls

Alec shook his head, "Let go so i can throw you in the water." He smiled sweetly at her.

Laurel: I laughed "In your dreams!" I said, smiling and kissed his cheek

Alec could only think of one way to get her under water. He hung onto her a dragged her under the water with him. He gave her a triumphant smile under water.

Laurel: I grinned and stood on his shoulders, holding him under while I was above teh water. I got off after a few moments thouhg, not wanting to drown him

Alec burst out of the water for air. After a few seconds of coughing he relaxed. "If I didn't know any better I would swear you were trying to kill me." He layed back in the water relaxing trying to calm down after playing around with her.

Laurel: I bit my lip "sorry....I didn't mean...." I felt bad, not meaning to have held up under that l

Alec smiled," Its okay I was only joking." He didn't really believe that she was trying to kill him. It was hard to kill him any way since he was a fallen angel. A simple drowning wasn't going to do the trick.

LAurel: I nodded, relieved "I gues I inda just got carried away" My cheeks flushed in embarrasment and I felt like a stupid child

Alec nodded, "Happens to all of us." He looked up at the sky it was beginging to go dark. He looked over at her. "do you want to stay for a while or head back now?"

Laurel: I smiled and floated on my back "Whatever you'd like to do" I said, closing my eyes

Alec shrugged, "Doesn't matter to me what we do." He didn't really feel like going back just yet. Here it was peaceful and when they headed back they would have to be careful. At night was when the Karian really came out to portrol.

Laurel: I sat up and looked at him "Why did you stop to help me?"

Alec didn't really have a definate answer to that. "You looked like you were in trouble and lost. I didn't want to leave you there so I took you." She had looked so helpless like a lost puppy dogs and she kept talking about the voices.

Laurel: I sighed and looked down "Do you still hear their screams of pain ever?" I asked softly

Alec shook his head, "No not anymore. Eventually you will stop hearing them."

LAurel: I smiled hesitantly "Really?"

Alec nodded, "Just give it time." He remembered how sensitive he was to the his surroundings. He had to listen to the pain of mainly slaves be wipped. It wasn't somthing he liked to remember.

Laurel: I relaxed sighing with relief "Good, that's good" I said softly

Alec looked at the dark sky now they really had to be getting back. "Time to get back." He didn't want to go but he didn't know if they were safe up here.

Laurel: I nodded, stading up and wringing my hair out

Alec grabbed one of the towls he brought and handed it to her to dry off. He took the other one and dryed himself. He went and changed back to his regular clothes. "Ready to go?"

Laurel: "mhm" I said, getting changed and walking over to him. I jumped, grabbing his arm as an owl hotted and then flushed in embarassment

Alec took her hand and lead her away from the lake into the woods. He kept in front just in case something happened. They walked down faster than they came up. He was close to the opening when a arrow wizzed past him to be stuck on a tree. "Run!" He shoved her in the direction away from the arrows.

Laurel: I yelped and hesitated, looking at him before running for the tunnel

Alec hoped she would be safe. He moved making the arrow barly miss him. Great how was he going to take out this guy when he couldn't even see him. He crept slowly throught the trees trying to find the guy but it was hard since he was just as quiet.
