To Love Is Nothing

Jake - "But what?" I ask heartbroken.

Anastasia - "That's good," I say. "We better start walking."

Liz: But...my powers were my whole life, I dropped my hand from his arm. I didn't say anything, just turned and followed Anastasia and Corrigan as they began walking.

Jake - I followed. I was shattering into a million pieces.

Anastasia - My feet were literally killing me and I fell into Corrigan, "Sorry," I mumble tiredly.

Jake - It was painful to watch Liz walk and not hold her hand, not talk to her.

Corrigan: I chuckled, my feet weren't bothering me one bit. "You want a piggy back ride?" I asked seriously. I could easily carry her small frame on my back.

Liz: I began walking on my toes, my heels needing a break. It made me feel taller, too.

Anastasia - "No," I say yawning.

Jake - I chuckled at Liz before catching myself.

Corrigan: "You don't have a choice," I grabbed her and put her on my back with a laugh.

Liz: I smiled up at Jake, but didn't say a word before looking straight ahead again. Inside, my heart was still broken, seeing how I hurt Jake. Seeing how that hurt myself.

Jake - I sighed and continued to walk.

Anastasia - I laugh still tired, "No, I can walk," I say.

Corrigan: "You can but I'm not about to let you - hey look, civilization!" I laughed, as we came to a road. A road that led to a town.

Anastasia - "THANK GOD!" I say happily.

Corrigan: We walked around town for a bit, trying to find apartments for rent. It was a small town, so there weren't many available. Finally, we found some. They had two. I pulled Anastasia over to the side, "Do you think Liz and Jake will be willing to rent one together?"

Anastasia - "I'm not sure, let's ask," I say. "Hey Liz? Do you mind renting with Jake?"

Liz: I froze, but looked up at Jake, then down at my feet. "How many bedrooms?"

Anastasia - I look to Corrigan for the answer.

Jake - On one hand I want to share a house with her, but then again, my heart was already broken enough

Corrigan: I held up two fingers.

Liz: I nodded, "Then that'll be fine."

Jake - "Yeah," I agree. It would be fine.... I hoped.

Anastasia - "We're sharing then," I smile up at Corrigan.

Corrigan: I grinned down at her, "That's what I was hoping for," Then turned and rented the apartments, having collected Jack and Liz's money. We all walked up to them together, and agreed to go get dinner later.

Liz: I took the key to Jake and I's apartment, unlocked, and opened the door.

Jake - I looked around the apartment in silent, "Which room do you want?" I ask.

Anastasia - I smile at the apartment, it was beautiful, "I love it."

Liz: I turned to Jack with a sigh and just blurted, now that we were in private. "Don't you understand that you're asking me to give up my entire life?"

Corrigan: I grinned and kissed her. "You're beautiful. Glad you like it."

Jake - "Don't you understand that you are my entire life now?" I snap back.

Anastasia - I kiss him back, "Maybe going to the mansion was a good thing, if I hadn't I'd have never met you."

Liz: "But there's some other girl, just waiting for you! Don't you understand that? I'm not supposed to be your life!" My voice rose in volume a bit.

Jake- "But you are, and that is all that matters!" I say.

Liz: I went and laid on the couch that had come with the apartment. I squeezed my eyes shut, trying to think of an argument, and knowing I looked ridiculous trying to do so.

Anastasia - "Are we sharing a room or..."
