To Love Is Nothing

Corrigan: I shrugged. "Whatever you're comfortable with."

Liz: I curled into a ball on the couch, and mumbled "I have no arguments left, Jake."

Jake - I went back to my original question,"What room do you want?"

Anastasia - "Alright," I say and place my stuff in a room.

Liz:"I don't care - you pick yours," I mumbled.

Corrigan: "Okay then," I put my stuff in the other room...

Jake - I put my stuff in the slightly smaller room and sigh... this was going to be hard.

Anastasia - I went into the room he was in and laid down on the bed as he put his stuff up.

Liz: I got up after he left and went to my room. He had given me the bigger one? Jake needed to quit being so nice. Or maybe I shoulder just give in...I slammed my door shut and cried on my bed again.

Corrigan: "We should really get some furniture of our own - the stuff that came with this place is outdated," I said as I put away the things I had brought.

Anastasia - "Do we have the money for that?" I thought that I could always get a job, surely they had something available.

Corrigan: "I have money," Plenty of it - stolen from my father before I left. "Though we should get jobs soon. Just so we can have an, er, normal sort of life."

Anastasia - "That would be so much fun, being normal, living life, maybe getting a puppy!" I say hopeful about the puppy. I loved dogs.

Corrigan: I chuckled, then sat down on the bed beside her. "A dog? I've never had one..."

Anastasia - "Oh, can we have one, please!" I beg.

Corrigan: "Sure, if you really want one," I said, and tucked her hair behind her ear.

Anastasia - "YAY! I get a puppy!" I throw my arms around his neck happily. What would I name her? What type would I get?

Corrigan: I chuckled before wrapping my arms around her waist and kissing her, there on the bed.

Liz: I ripped the end page from a book I had brought along and scrawled a note which I slipped under Jake's door before returning to my room.
Jake,

Please tell Anastasia and Corrigan that I'm not feeling so well, and that I am sorry to skip dinner.

The first time I had attempted to write the end of the note, I had written "Love, Liz" But quickly erased it and put "Thanks." Instead. I flopped down on my bed, feeling another round of tears begin to swell.

Jake - I sigh and leave the apartment with a "I will."

Anastasia - I smile as the kiss ends, "Time to eat? Then we can go apply for jobs... and get a puppy!"

Corrigan:I chuckled and rolled of the bed. "Sounds like a plan."

Liz: My heart was breaking into a millions shards, and I could only imagine how Jake felt. He was the one who had been broken up with after all. Maybe even staying here wasn't a good idea. Was I messing with his lifeline by just staying in Jake's life? Probably.

Anastasia - "Then let's go," I take his hand and head on out. I couldn't wait for the new addition to the kinda-like-a-family.... I guess...

Jake - I waited in front of their door until they came out, "Hey."

Corrigan: "Hey, where's Liz? We were going to get a puppy after this, and knowing how she loves any living creature. Especially furry ones." I grinned.

Jake - "She said she was tired and wouldn't be coming with us," I say sadly.

Anastasia - "Should I check on her?" I look towards the door.

Corrigan: "Well...if there's a puppy involved, maybe she would want to. Why don't you ask her Jake?" I purposely ignored Anastasia's volunteering to ask. I knew Jake and Liz needed the contact more than the two girls.

Jake - I nod and go to her room, knocking on the door. "Do you want to go? After Anastasia and Corrigan are going to pick out a puppy for Anastasia."

Anastasia - I lean against Corrigan, "Where should we work?"

Liz: I was surprised that Jake was actually speaking to me. I deserved the silent treatment, or worse. I hesitated then asked "Are you going?"

Corrigan: I wrapped an arm around her shoulders. "I dunno, you're a dancer. You could work at a dance studio?"

Jake- I knew she wouldn't if I went so I said, "No, actually, I'm not even going to eat, I'm not up to going out, you go."

Anastasia - "You think they have one here?" I wonder excited.

Liz: "Oh," I actually had wanted him to come, as selfish as that was. Should I tell him that? My life was going to Hell, so I might as well dig myself into a deeper ditch. "I-I actually wanted you to go..."

Corrigan: "Probably, we can go look after dinner."

Jake - I freeze, "Then I'll go." I say getting weak in my chest.

Anastasia - "YAY!" I say. "If not, I'm an experienced waitress..."
