"Some people just like to fit in." If she hadn't made herself over then she would still be that girl with only one friend. And that was why she stayed with them.

Stephen shrugged. "I guess I'm not. I've been all over the cliques in these schools and I only fit in with the geeks." He was constantly harrassed about trying to look cool in his clothes, especially the leather jacket, but this was a style that he liked. Stephen didn't like wearing graphic t-shirts or anything weird, which is why he felt like a loner even in his group.

Lyla smiled, "Your just a special case." Did she really just say that? God she sounded so cheesy. The bell rung signaling the end of lunch. She stood straight, "I guess I will see you later." She waved before turning her back to go to class. At least it was her interning class.

Stephen remained calm until she walked away. What was her deal, that she could just walk up to someone and start talking to them? He shook his head and walked to his sociology class. It was an interesting class, though he prefered psychology.

Lyla sat in the back bored. The teacher didn't have any work for her to do today. She just sat thinking about things. What was she to do about the populars? Did she still want ot be apart of them? She had no idea. The main reason she still stayed with them was because if she didn't be with them then who would she hang out with. People would probally reject her since she had been mean to them.

Stephen was bored in his class and thought about skipping the rest of the day. He could fake sick or something and spend the rest of the day at home or somewhere where he wasn't going to be caught. His life sucked, so why not add skipping school to his perfect record?

Lyla was more than happy when the bell rang and she was able to not have to think anymore. Chemistry would keep her busy. She entered the class room taking her seat at one of the lab tables. Already on the board was notes for them to copy. Taking out her pencil and notebook she began jotting down the notes.

Stephen sighed when the bell rang. How many classes were there left? Some popular girl bumped into him and screamed to watch where he was walking. Stephen glared at her and kept walking to...what class? Oh yeah, AP History. He glanced around and his friends were already seated at their usual spots.

Lyla listened and took notes as her chemistry teacher explained the lesson for today. She was absorbed in the equations trying hard to follow how the teacher was solving the problem. Normally she got the equations but today she couldn't quite grasp it. She kept having Mrs.Sinness explain how to do the problem. At least it was giving her a distraction.

Stephen became bored with the class. Even if he didn't pay attention he would still pass. Stephen took notes while the teacher gave the lecture, occasionally drawing random things in the corners.

Lyla just wanted school to be over with. Ugh why did school have to last so long? Finally the last announcements came on for the day. She quickly picked up her notes pushing them into her bag just as the bell rung. That goodness, she could just go home and relax not worry about her friends or school for another second.

Stephen heard the bell ring and shot out of class. He already had his stuff in his bag. He thought for a second about getting his other hoodie, but decided that he didn't need it. Stephen wasn't sure what was worse now: home or school.

Lyla walked into her house quietly hoping no one would hear her. She couldn't deal with the scurtrinizing eyes of her mother and she couldn't bare to look at her father anymore. Why did she have to witness it? She could of been just happy not knowing anything. She hurridly went up to her room.

Stephen walked and eventually made it home. His older brother was already there, by the sound of it, and upstairs. He went upstairs and found his brother stuffing cases of alcohol into his closet. "Hey get that stuff out!" His brother laughed. "Like I'm going to get caught with it? I'm holding it for a party this weekend." His brother went out and Stephen stared at the cases, wondering what he'd do with them.

Lyla makes it to her room without having to talk to anyone. Maybe no one did hear her come in. She sighs in relief dropping onto the bed. She jolts back up she forgot about the project. Her and that guy have to work on it. She didn't even have his number to call let alone know where he lives. She lays back down, great another class I'm going to fail.

Stephen sighed and sat on his bed. He had nothing to do really. The homework, it'd take him ten minutes at the max. He went out his window and sat on the roof, looking out. Stephen remembered the project and that he'd have to work with that popular girl. There was no way she'd give him her number, even if it was just for the project.

Lyla sighs, Nothing she could do now about the project. At least they still had a couple more days to work on it. She took out her homework wanting so to distract her from worrying over the project. Since it is the beginning of the year she didn't take long to finish her homework. What could she do now? She left her room decding on going to a beginning of the year party.

Stephen remembered something, from his group, that there was going to be a party. He knew most of the popular people would be there and none of his group would. Stephen could sneak out, but he wasn't the party type at all. He sighed and grabbed a random book off the shelf to read.

Lyla reached the party while it was still in full swing. People around her were drinking and laughing. Just having fun like teenagers. She felt out of place with them, maybe she should of just stayed home. She went into the house searching for the drinks. What she needed right now was to not think.

Stephen sighed and decided to take a chance. They might make fun of him or whatever, but he wanted to get drunk or something. Do something bad. He remembered the address and walked there, hoping someone would be there that he knew.

Lyla found the drinks not caring what lay inside she grabbed one and started chugging it. She could hear the guys around her cheering yellling, "Chug Chug." When she finished the drink a roar erupted. She laughed feeling the effects from drinking so fast. A guy handed her another drink and before long she was chuugging another except this one made her feel funny. She never gotten drunk off just two drinks but now she was swaying.
