Chaos in the city

Amelia: "How about this. We work together...as," I shuddered slightly, "Equals, unless one of us screws up big time. More resourses that way, and more minds working together. Deal?" I held my hand out for deacon to shake.

I looked at her hand, then at mine. I spat into my hand and shook hers "Deal, Amelia Airhead"

Amelia: I winced when he did that. "Deal, DeeDee Dumba**" I wiped my hand on his shoulder when i pulled away from the hand shake. "So, now that we have that settled, maddy do you want to work with...us?"

Hmm...so I'm thinking Adriel is in the library, somehow runs into the group and some convo/fight starts somehow to the point that he accidentally shows his power? Would that work?

Adriel had been eavesdropping the last couple of minutes of the strange group's conversation, pretending to look through a nearby bookshelf. He couldn't hear all of it, but a few words had caught his attention. They weren't normal...were they? Like him?

Now, how to start something?

Amelia: I saw a kid looking at a book self in our section. "Have an interest in the reporductive system?" I asked, walkign over and pulling a book off the shelf so I could look at him.

Adriel blinked, opened a random book and thumbed through it. "Oh, uh, is that what section I'm in? I was just looking for...that way." He dropped the book back on the shelf and started to walk away.

amelia: "Kid. Stop." I raised my hand, a avalanch of books falling from the shelves and landing infront of him. "Who are you, and why were you listening to our conversation?"

Adriel paused, looking at the books on the ground, before turning around. "...You're not...normal, are you?" And she wasn't being very descreet about it, either. "I--I didn't hear nothing."

Amelia: "I'm as normal as they come kid." I sighed, walking over to him. "And the double negitives cancel out. You heard something."

Maddy nodded, looking quite pleased. Her eyes blazed a little and she dropped them to the floor. "Yeah, I'll work with you." She looked at the younger boy, who looked slightly nervous and felt the need to comfort him, but he wasn't /that/ younger. And he didn't know her. Instead, she raised a pale brow at him.

Adriel crossed his arms. "How could I not have heard, with you talking as loud as you were?" He said, and then added with a quick half smile, "And shh. Don't you have any respect? No yelling in the library."

Amelia: I laughed lightly and shook my head. "You have spunk kid. I like that." I sighed and looked at him. "How much did you hear?"

Maddy chuckled at the boy. He had guts, talking to her like that. But then again, he didn't really know her. Respectable in someone so young. Wait-- she still didn't know how old he was.

"Uh..." Adriel ran a hand through his hair, looking at her for a moment before his hair fell back into his face and his eyes were hidden again. "Not much, I think."

Amelia: "I'm not going to hurt you. I'm reserving my energy for DeeDee if he ever gets on my bad side again." I offered a small smile. "What was the first thing you heard? Lets start there."

Andriel stalled. "Well...judging by the fact that you were the one talking too loud, and I was just an innocent passer-by who happened to hear whatever you didn't want me to, it's your fault I heard what I did and therefore it's unjust to punish me with interrogation."

Amelia: I sighed. A smart mouth. "Not interrogation. You wouldnt want to be in my interrogation. Trust me there."

Adriel stalled some more. "Then...I plead the fifth."

Amelia: I face palmed. "Why is every one so difficult!?" ugh. "How about this...i'll tell you a secret if you just tell me what you heard. Or i will answer one question of your choice, possibly two. Any question you have."

Adriel's expression remained blank. What was this, kindergarten? If he wanted a secret, he would find the real ones, the juicy ones out for himself, not have some handed to him like he was some fanboy chasing celebrity autographs. After a moment, he suddenly leaped over the pile of books and ran down the aisle.

Amelia: Why do they always run? Why me? I looked at the sky before taking off after him, running nimbly. I tackled the kid and pinned him to the ground. the top floor of the library was empty besides us and the other heros. "TEll me...please."

Hehe...it would be the smart thing to do for him to tell her a little bit of what he heard but not all of it, then hopefully run free, but drama beats smartness.

Adriel grunted when he was tackled, staring up at her in shock for a moment. He wanted to dissapear. "Why do you need to know? Damn, I won't tell anyone! They'd call me crazy anyway!"
