Daughter of Darkness

(haha, mine does too! I keep switch and forgetting words O.o my apologies. shall we try to all go to bed at a normal time tonight?)
Gabrielle's body flinched as he touched her, her mind recoiling as well. his touch reminded her of what they just did, she didn't like it.
"no. seph will be back for me soon, I don't think I strong enough to handle it anymore.. I don't want to give the others away. I shall remain like this. just tell me one thing- is the baby okay?"

Peter's heart broke and he sighed. "Gabrielle...we've been gone from the prison for three days...we escaped..you lost the baby two days before we ran..." He felt tears prick at his eyes. He sent her the memories of everything, at least from his perspective. He couldn't show her anything that wasn't a memory, it was beyond his abilities to do so.

Gabrielle remained deadly silent, ice filling her veins as her memories came flashing back. The baby.. seph and her...
she felt dead, this knowledge made her feel dead. now her body just needed to follow suit, then everything would be... blissful. like she wanted, no needed

"Gabrielle don't you dare! Don't you dare leave me!" Peter growled, the tears now running down his cheeks.

Gabrielle snapped, forgetting herself and turning on him. "why, my dead body no fun to play with?" her rage and grief started to come forward, so much, it hurt her just to breath. She didn't mean her words. well, she did, just not toward him

Peter stared at her in shock, tears leaking from the corner of his eyes. "You know I would never do such a thing." His voice was weak, his head spinning. His body was still a mess. He didn't look so much like a bloodied pulp any more, though he did look like a ripped up punching bag.

Gabrielle fell quiet, calming down enough to realize what she had said "I'm sorry..." she whispered

Peter just watched her, his eyes filled with pain as he hung his head. "It's ok...I understand..."

"you love me?" Gabrielle repeated, stirring slightly

"....yes..I do.." Peter looked up at her, still looking pained and apologetic, like he thought this was all his fault.

"That's not a good idea" she whispered, finally using her voice

Mirissa nodded, "Alright." She walked in the direction she figured the girl to be and into the room. Her eyes alert and careful she walked over and sat next to the bed. Placing a hand on the girls arm she made the change into the shadows and proceeded yo work.

Gabrielle instantly retreated back into her mind as she felt the strange presence engulf her, forgetting peter and his words as she lost herself in her misery

It took a long time, Mirissa made sure to heal every piece of the girl. When she was done she went to stand, promptly passing out as she did and falling back to the floor.

Gabrielle remained inside of herself, not caring if her body was healed, it was her mind that was broken.

Peter frowned and manuvered through Gabrielle's mind until he found her again. "Why not?" He asked, continuing the conversation as if there had never been an interuption.

Jack sighed and picked Mirissa up, carrying her to his room and laying her on the bed.

Gabrielle sighed, a little peeved that he kept managing to find her.
"cause.. cause I can't love you back" she mumbled. "I'll only hurt you in the end"
She couldn't love. she wouldn't let herself. not anymore

"I'm willing to take that chance." Peter didn't give up easily obviously.

Gabrielle gave him a mental glare and fell silent "my body is healed" she noted

"The shadow girl healed you," Peter said, not really phased by her glare. He was still kneeling on the ground, by her bed, unwilling to move.

Gabrielle frowned "and the others? I feel others near by"

Mirissa - out

"A telepath. And then two guys, they seem to be lovers with the girls." Peter said gently. "They cling to each other like it's their last moments together."

"with all of our lucks, it probably is" Gabrielle stated, her tone blunt and cold as she looked all of her emotions away. It was easier that way. then it didn't hurt so much to live. and since he wasn't letting her off herself...

Mirissa curled up, and whimpered slightly. Alone her nightmares could reach her
