Untouchable MxT

Mika pulled his hands away from her head and looked at him. She wasnt suprised by what she say, but somewhat sad for seeing all of it. She looked at his closed eyes, her own worried. "Are you arlight, love?" She asked, moving to get off him so the water could take full affect. She didnt want to move, but she didnt want him to stay weak.

Trenton gave a small nod, wrapping his arms around her so she didn't get off, holding her to his chest while he laid there. "Yes," he took a deep breath. "Just...not use to touching someone for so long is all," he murmured. A small smile pulled at his lips as another thought crossed his mind. "Guess we are even now, yes?"

Mika nodded slowly but ended up shaking her head. "What you saw, the first time you touch me, was just parts..." She didnt wish him to the see the rest. Especially right now when he was so weak. She was careful to make sure both of his hands werent touching her as she shifted ontop of him. She kissed his nose and sighed. " But for all means, yes we are even."

Trenton opened an eye and gave her a boyish grin though it was hard to ignore that she was making sure he didn't touch her. He couldn't decide how he was suppose to handle that fact, so he didn't. He just ignored it. "So....tomorrow.." he said, his voice turning serious again along with his eyes that seemed to turn just a shade darker.

Mika sighed and looked down. "So, what happens tomorrow?" she asked, her voice shy. What was going to happen, Trenton had seemed like he was preparing for something big. Something dramatic. It worried her. The way his eyes turned darker and his voice went serious. All of it worried her.

"Tomorrow, the Tree City will no longer be..and we will begin traveling," Trenton's eyes searched her face. "We are going to the shadow valley," his voice, though dark, was soft and low. "I must put an end to it all."

Mika looked at him blankly. "Why? I'm so confused...how could this happen? And why do you have to stop it?" her voice was worried and hushed. She took his hand into hers. She would follow him to wherever. "Where is the place we are going?"

Trenton sighed and ran his other hand through his hair before resting his arm across her back, making sure to not touch her with his hand. "The Trimir will have destroyed the city," his eyes glanced in the direction of the old city. His eyes fell back on her. "The shadow valley is almost a month's journey from here, that is why we must leave in the morning. It rests in the basin of The Black Mountains. The demons of the netherworld live there, they have been banished to that desolate place because of their crimes against our world. Their leader, the one who started this war that has waged for centuries, is known as the Mabal. He's a very evil, very strong man. It is my duty, as a Heshik, to protect the people."

mika nodded slowly and looked down at her hands. "If you....if you need, I can call in a few benders to help. Our job is to protect the realms. This is technically a realm. So, we have the duty to protect it...." She said, rushing the words out so he wouldnt cut her off.

Trenton watched her carefully for a moment then gave a small nod. "Maybe if we could send them to the other cities, keep them protected?" he asked, not really wanting the benders in the fight. It wasn't their fight. It was his.

MIka nodded and closed her eyes. She sent out a telepathic messaged to drew, something she never did before and wasnt quite sure if it would work, saying that she needed his help with something. very faintly, just like the first time they met in her math class, his voice filled her head.
"Alright, my Mika." Was all he said. Not when he would show up, or even if he knew where he was going. But that he would come. She forced back a sigh and cuddled against Trenton.
"Drew is coming and i'll tell him to bring others."

Trenton gave a small nod as he held her close. "Thank you." His eyes searched the sky, trying to sort out his thoughts. He wasn't sure what to say, or even how to say it. He rubbed her back gently with his hand that he allowed to touch her, taking a deep breath.

Mika sighed and looked up at him. "I feel like this is so much you dont know about me...because I cant talk about it." She always felt that if she brought up her past, she would always break because of it. The only way she was able to stay happy was to forget whatever happened to her after it did. And supress those memories into her deepest darkest parts of her minds.

Trenton's eyes fell on her, his brow furrowing. "What do you mean?" he asked quietly. He brushed her hair from her face gently, kissing her forehead. "Not everyone knows everything about a person. That's one of the things we take a chance on when we decide to spend our lives with them. Not knowing all of them, but knowing enough to know we love them...no matter what."

Mika sighed. She felt like he knew so little of her though. What if he did know her past and her luck with guys? Or her family issues. "Alright...." She snuggled against him and let her own eyes close. She just wanted to be near him to night. To be safe, in his arms.
"Mi?" A voice called through the woods. She looked up to see Drew come out. At least...she thought it was drew. Her heart ached slightly as he wlakd to them and she held onto Trenton.

Trenton sat up at the sound of the person, quickly hiding Mika behind him. The man looked an awful lot like the one that had shot her earlier, and he was now determined to not let that happen again. In the same instant that he had put her behind him, he as on his feet, his body shuddering slightly as his mind began to shift into the same defensive mode it had before, his eyes starting to merge to a dark black.

Mika looked over trentons shoulder at drew. "It's fine...it's really him." her voice showed the pain that was inside her. She stepped out from behind Trenton and crossed to drew. But when she got within five feet from him, she felt an energy surge. His energy. She took a quick step back and looked down.
"Mika..." his voice was just as pained as hers.
"Drew, this world is in danger from what I can gather." she said slowly, taking a few more steps away from him.

Trenton watched, his eyes now full black. He was tense, ready to protect her if he needed to. His eyes were on Drew, untrusting and almost vengeful. He still wasn't convinced that it was the right one. The "right" Drew. He also didn't like the tone of his voice...or hers...It was obvious they still..had something.

Mika just looked at the man she once loved. He took a step foreward and she took one back. Two people who could never love. She looked down and away from him. She didnt want to hurt Trenton, but some things were just impossible to get over. What her and Drew once had was one of them.
But she had to hide it. She had no choice. She walked back into the water and took Trentons hand.
"It's fine trenton. He cant come within a few feet of me anyway." She said softly, looking at the ground. "He cant hurt me." Not physically at least. Emotionally was still open though.

Trenton still stared on with his black eyes, his muscles tense. He wasn't sure what to say, he only watched and listened. "Your name?" He finally asked the man who affected Mika in a way Trenton felt as though he, himself, couldn't. His voice carried its echo, much like it had before. He wasn't sure what to make of this meeting, so as he did before he met Mika, he hid his emotions away, leaving him a blank shell. Nothing but a wall of muscle.

Mika curled her hands around trentons. She was actually quite scared and nervous.
"Drew. Drew Collins. Head bender under the council, sadly." Drew offered a slight bow, but it was forced. Sure, he was the one who called it off between him and mika...not like he had much of a choice, but still. It hurt to see her with someone else.

Trenton looked down at Mika for a long moment, then back to Drew. His eyes searched the man's face, narrowing slightly as he studied him. "Are there more coming?" He asked, wondering if he should be giving orders.

Drew nodded slowly. "A handful of the best and oldest. I trust them with my life." He glanced at Mika, as if he also trusted them with hers. "They are just running a bit behind because of other missions." He explained softly. Part of him wondered how mika ended up here. The council never sent anyone to watch this area. So she probably ended up coming her without directions Whether that was good or bad was unclear at this moment, but it didnt settle easily with Drew. how did she find troulbe so easily?

Trenton gave a small nod, his fingers tightening slightly around Mika's. Not enough to hurt her, but enough to show he was holding her hand and that she wasn't just holding his. "Do you have an estimated time as to when they will show?" He asked, still refusing to put his guard down, his eyes still a burning black in the bright flame of the small fire.

Mika smiled slightly as he held her hand a bit tighter. Instantly she felt a bit more safe. Not that she felt indager because off drew. But because she feared that with drew around Trenton would leave her.
"A few hours tops." drew informed them. He looked between the two people and slowly took in mika's changes. The symbols and markings. her gloves ok the ground, her slight confidence around Trenton. And how he could hold her. "Would you like me to come back once the others arive?"
"Yes." Mika answered quickly.
