"Yeah..." I answered the cat kid. I'd thought that it had been very obvious that they were wings, even before I displayed them, but I'd apparently been mistaken. Pfft, no. Cat kid must've just been stupid. Then I turned to Emerson. "No, I don't believe it is."

Emerson:

"Alright then... I'm not insane. Good to know." I stated. "Any idea where I could find one then?" I asked.

I really REALLY should not just drink as much punch as I possibly can at parties even if it is red and delicious...

Eventually I won't have a human bladder to worry about... but until then... I was stuck havibng to deal with the thing.

Nash

"No it's not a bathroom...but I think there's one down the hall?" I answered. Where the heck was this guy from?! "Are you, by any chance, half a shifter?" I asked curiously, there weren't too many of us unlucky ones that got stuck with ears and a tail or wings....

Drew left the room again to wander. This was boring, but he didnt know what to do. A slight groan of frusteration left his lips. Maybe he could find a room with a piano to entertain himself....

No, he was here for a mission....

but a piano would be so calling. He wandered the halls slowly and looked around. A small break with a piano wouldnt totally throw his mission, right?

He wandered into a room, passing a few people talking, and found a glossy black grand piano. Perfect.

"Shifter?" I asked, arching an eyebrow. "Like, a human who can turn into animals? No, I'm not, and I don't know anyone with magic anywhere near that advanced. Why, are you?"

Nash

Blew it. Crap.....I shuffled nervously. Well at least she had meantioned magic...not that I did that stuff, I was just born a shifter. "yeah...well...half.....what are you then?"

White Angel

"An eyri," I answered. "...Half? Can you only turn halfway into an animal, then? Is the magic just impotent?" How could someone only be half shifter? That sounded preposterous.

Nash

"An eyri....I've never heard of them," I chuckled, "No, my mom was a shifter and my dad wasn't therefore I got stuck with well..." I pulled down my hood and twitched my cat ears and let my tail slip out, "Well...these."

White Angel

"...And?" I asked. He was acting like that was some horrible thing. What was the big deal? "Eyri are birds, by the way."

Nash

"Oh that's cool. Well cat ears and a tail isn't exactly...normal...." I said, frowning a bit and covering them back up. It was uncomfortable to hide them but well...what are ya gonna do? Let the Area find you? Hell no.

Diana
Parties were never for me. I wasn't usually a social person, usually didn't go to these sorts of things....
Didn't like the ballroom though, so I wander up some flight of stairs. Quieter up here, but not enough to drone out the noise. And then there was some other noise. Small at first; I thought I had imagined it. But as I continue on my way down the hall it grows in strength, however gentle the music it was making was.
Couldn't stop my curiosity. I peak in a room and find a young man playing a piano. Very well, I might add. Very skilled.

Leon glanced over to the girl who had asked to sit next to him before looking back into the trees. "If she was dangerous, she probably already would have killed me," he assured the girl in the trees. He looked back over his shoulder with his eyebrows raised, hoping this was true.

White Angel

"What?" I asked. "I know plenty of people with furry parts. And feathers, and scales. Some people are outright anthropomorphic animals."

Seriously, what was his issue? He was making a big deal out of nothing...

Aya
I've already learned flying in front of people isn't a way to go under the radar. Carefully stepping out, my footsteps silent from instilled training. Keeping a safe distance, but going out of the trees a little. Cautious glances are still shot between the two of them, my eyes flicking from one to the other every few seconds.

Nash

I wanted to go to where ever the hell she came from. "Er....well....it's not exactly....um..safe...here.....cause....well...there are some people...who would rather have me in there hands and standing out.....isn't what I need."

Veronica tensed at the mention of killing. It reminded her far to much of her brother.
"I'm not a killer." She said softly. At least not to the innocent. "Just here cause I'm bored of the party." She looked at the girl.
"I'm Veronica. And you guys are...?"

diana noticed drew before, momo

Drew continued playing, his fingers moving quickly along the keys and swaying slightly to the music. This was his escape. his escape from his job, from the stress he carried. And everything he regretted. From every death he couldnt prevent to everything he lost over the many many years....and to everyone he had killed. Those deaths were forever his burden, and he would never forget them.
but that is why he worked, to try to fix that. To try to fix what he messed up.

Diana
Felt like...I was impeding on his privacy, but then the door had been open.... And... I dunno... this sort of still felt... personal....
Maybe I'll just go... close the door so that someone else doesn't interrupt.... But then the hinges squeak from the movement. Mentally I curse, contemplate just bolting but my feet won't move. Just sort of frozen, caught spying....

Drew spun but didnt move from the polished piano or slippery bench. A girl stood there, looking like a deer in headlights. a small smile showed on his face. not who he was looking for.
"Hey....No need to be afraid." He stood slowly to show he wasnt a threat. Go figure, he was showing the person spying on him that he was safe to be around. he held both hands up to show that he held nothing.
A small glance went down to his book, but he brought it back up to her. "I'm Drew Collins," he said, slowly extending his hand out to her for her to shake. "And you are?"

Diana
I feel my cheeks flush, as they usually do. Maybe if I got some dang color to me it wouldn't be so noticeable... "Diana," I say, taking his hand semi awkwardly. This was...odd... Nicer than the scenario that had been in my head but...certainly not expected....

Drew shook her hand slowly and smiled. "So, what are you doing at this wonderfully boring party?" He asked with a slight grin. "Besides sneaking in on someone playing piano and spying on them."

Species: Human... Probably. This is Wade, after all.
Appearance: Typical Wade, but in a long red coat with brass buttons. His shotgun is now a double-barrelled coach gun. He still wears his gas-mask, but it is a little more leather-and-brass than chrome-and-rubber. Also, his machete has been replaced with a proper sword. Basically, he's Wade but steampunk'd.
