Angel of Darkness...

Kylia gasped as the water hit her face and shot straight up, almost immediately regretting she had. "My life is a black hole." she muttered as she fell back onto the couch, once again regretting it. She could smell the coffee and her focus immediately turned to it. But then she remembered the guy that stood in her living room without a shirt on. She looked around. There was a guy. But he had a shirt. She stared at him curiously, not exactly sure what to make of him. "If you were sent by Landon, I swear I'll shoot you." She muttered, not remembering that he was from GWC.


Axel walked with her till they reached a pretty fancy hotel. He then went inside and to the elevator and waited for her, watching her expectantly.

Aribella - I admired the hotel as I walked through it to the elevator. I got a lot of guys staring at me and even winked at one.

Lorrick raised his eyebrows, confused. "Did I not just prove to you that I'm from GWC?"

Ivory relaxed slightly. He just didn't have the I-am-here-to-take-you-to-a-killer air about him. She waved her hand at him dismissively. "Eric is your name, so you keep it," she said, not wanting to bother with little stuff like that.

Eric - "Alright by me," I said shrugging. "When do you get off of work?"

Ivory looked up at the clock, shaking her black hair out of her eyes. "In exactly thirty seconds," she said, matter-of-factly, taking off her apron.

Eric - "I have great timing," I smiled.

Ivory laughed softly and looked into the kitchen. "I'm leaving, Greg!" she called. Her boss's reply was a simple grunt. Rolling her eyes she walked from behind the counter and looked at Eric, her hands on her hips. "So how does this work?" she asked.

Eric - "You tell me what you want and I do it."

Axel rolled his eyes and pulled her into the elevator hitting the UP button, taking them to the top floor.

Kylia looked at him for a moment. "Oh. Right." She muttered and rubbed her head. "Can you get me a cup of coffee?"

Aribella - "What?" I asked with fake innocence.

Ivory nodded and started to make her way out of the diner. "Simple enough," she said, assuming he was following her. "I want you to find, and possibly kill, Miguel Romero."

Lorrick nodded and stood up, taking the wash cloth with him. He came back a couple of minutes later with a coffee mug in his hand and handed it to her. "So, do you mind telling me why I'm here?" Although he already had a good guess judging by the bruises that seemed to cover her body.

Eric - "That does seem simple, too simple."

Ivory shrugged and smiled at him over her shoulder. "Well, it's either that or torture him till he cries. You choose."

Eric - I laughed, "I'm guessing he did something horrible."

Ivory was instantly serious as she turned the corner to her street. "He killed my brother," she said, walking briskly.

Kylia looked at the coffee and sat up, taking it gently. Ah, sweet manna from heaven. She sipped it carefully and looked at him and shrugged. "Protection." The motion sent yet another zing of pain through her spine and she kicked herself mentally. She glanced back at the coffee, "You make a good cup of joe."

Axel rolled his eyes as they reached the top floor. "Just focus alright? You're an angel not a prostitute." He grumbled and walked towards his room at the far end of the hall.

Lorrick rolled his eyes. "No shit," he muttered, reaching out and gently tracing one of her bruises. "But what from?"

Kylia's eyes hardened slightly. This guy didn't know when to stop asking questions did he? She took a deep breath and set down the cup of coffee, brushing away his hand. "Landon. He's one of the hit men for the Black Cross gang. I'm not on the list, but he seems to like to take advantage of me after work."

Lorrick nodded and took a step back, his arms crossed over his chest. "That's all I needed to know."

Kylia watched him, glad he didn't ask for details. She stood and swayed slightly, then made her way to her room. "I have work as soon as the sun sets." She called back to him and came out with a load of books and dumped them onto the table that was already crowded with music sheets, much like everything else. "Until then I just go to school." She shrugged and stared at him.

Lorrick nodded and watched her. "You might not see me most of the time," he warned her. "But I'll be there no matter what."

"Wow, what a way to make a girl feel protected." Kye muttered and walked to her room, pulling off her tank top as she went. She always wore a bra to bed, so she wasn't to concerned about it. Her back was mostly black from all the bruises, a few cuts were scattered here and there. "Is my black shirt out there?" she called back.

Lorrick looked around the room and spotted a black shirt hanging on the back of the recliner. "Yes," he called back. He had caught sight of her back before she disappeared into her room, making his jaw clench. This Landon had to be stopped.
