"Take a bite of my heart tonight"

Rose: "She seems like the type who doesn't like prying." I observed.

Caleb: "Yeah..." That really wasn't it. The wolf in her never liked me. heck, the first time we met she was hunting me. Not like she had any control over the wolf did at the time. From time to time, though, the wolf in her still rises up and sometimes she can't stop the change. I pulled out some old newspaper and crumpled it up, and then lit it with my lighter. The wood caught, and the fire flared up.

Rose: I stared into the fire. I felt a little disappointed that demons never found love. In fact, the last case of a demon love story was a hundred years ago. Hopefully I might be the next. "You sound as if you're not sure." I said. "As if you're not telling the whole truth."

Caleb: I hesitated. "I'm not sure she would want you knowing...We've run into some....people who don't really like who, er what, she is."

Rose: I leaned back against a tree. "I'm fine with it."

Caleb: "Okay..." I was silent for a moment. "I mean...if you really want to know, you can ask her. I'm not going to guarentee she'll answer though."

Rose: "I value my life. Probably not a good idea. So what exactly got you wrapped up in all of this?" I asked.

Caleb: "Ummm..." Well, she learned to avoid that easily... "I met Wolf in New York City, looking for survivers who might have wanted to come with me out west. But i got....hurt and stayed with her a while. She decided to come after i had left and found me on the road when i was at gun point by three marauders in a super market. She managed them though."

Rose: Managed was an interesting term. "Cool." I said.

Caleb: I saw her suspicion. "Alright, she killed them." I wasn't really helping her fear for her life die down much. "She's killed a few..." Not helping... "But if she had the choice she probably wouldn't have." Stop it NOW. Just stop!

Rose: "Oh I knew that." I said.

Caleb: "Oh."
Wolf: "Talking about me?" He jumped and spun around.
Caleb: "What the hell, Wolf?!"
Wolf: I couldn't help a little snicker. "I thought you'd be used to it by now." I moved around and sat on the log next to him. I looked up at Rose. I knew my eyes had yet to change. They still reflected the wolf. It made me feel awkward so i set to cleaning the dirt from under my nails.

Rose: I laughed at them. "It should be me sneaking up on you two. That's kind of my job."

Wolf: "You won't win with me. I'll hear you a mile away." I glanced at Caleb before returning to focusing on my nails. "You can't really lose your smell either."
Caleb: Crap...she had heard....

Rose: I slipped into the shadows of the trees. "BOO!" I giggled.

Wolf: I smiled as i followed her with my eyes. I could hear every footstep and constantly pinpoint her by her fire-y smell. It was how i found Caleb before, when i decided to follow him west. I sighed and stretched. "What's for dinner?"
Caleb: "hmmm..." i rooted through the bags. "how about french style green beans and chef boyardee?"
WOlf: "Sounds awesome to me."

Rose: "Yum on the Chef Boyardee!!!!" I said, emerging from the shadows.

Caleb: I pulled out the can opener and took off the tops and then set them in some hot coals. I dug down in the packs for some forks and passed them around. "Alright. Five minutes and it'll be ready."

Rose: I took the fork, and when the food was ready, I grabbed my can and ate it hungrily. Yum. I passed on the green beans, as I really hated them, but I didn't mention why as to not be rude.

Caleb: "Carnivore, huh?" I noted when she passed on the beans to me with a somewhat disgusted look.

Rose: "I eat vegetables. I just hate anything of the bean variety." I said.

Wolf: I took some of them, if only to fill my stomach. I really was a carnivore, but in this world you didn't know where the next meal might come from. Might as well get what little vitamins were left too. I washed it down with the 'ravioli' smothered in that weird yet tasty sauce.

Rose: "Chef Boyardee deserves his own restaurant in Vegas. Maybe even the title of Iron Chef."

Caleb: I laughed. "I remember that show! It was ridiculous, in a good way though."
Wolf: Show...that meant TV. The last time i had watched TV was when i was six. It was the news, and they were reporting on the world crumbling around them. i had been too young to really understand. It had been the night the wolf came to me for the first time. I remained silent as i listen to them. I looked down at the empty can and set it on the ground.

Rose: "Yeah! My favorite was the holiday one with Paula Deen." I laughed.
