If you were granted one wish, good for anything you could possibly think of, what would it be...? While you think on that, I urge you to remember, my dears: Be careful what you wish for! Because as it's often said, things aren't always greener on the other side of the fence.

There's an old wishing well setting deep in the woods rumored to grant the desires that are placed within it. You check it out, figuring you have nothing to lose. You're missing something in your life. Love, money... Whatever it is, you go to the well in hopes of gaining it. But you don't notice the warning label.

CAUTION: The consequences of using this well could be catastrophic. The wishes granted are not always as specified.

Naida: I lay in bed, hoping that Kade wouldn't be home anytime soon. I wanted so badly to leave him and his evil ways. I was sick of being hurt and tired of his games. I just wanted to be free.

Six- I shuffle along the sidewalk with my shoulders hunched, not looking anyone in the eye.

With a groan, Kane straightened up, reaching to wipe the sweat from his forehead with the back of his hand. He had just finished helping unload a refrigerator from the back of a truck as a favor for his brother, and as hot as it was, he could really go for a beer. Having tossed his shirt long before even getting started, he stood there after fishing his cell phone from the pocket of his jeans, calling his wife. Muttering a low string of curses when she didn’t answer, he left her a nice message, knowing she could hear it. “Hey, I know you’re there. What…too f*cking lazy to pick up the phone…? I see how it is. Anyway, I’ll be home in twenty. Haven’t eaten lunch yet, so I expect something by the time I get there.” A pause, “Oh and…I love you.” The phone clicked shut as he walked to his truck, keys jingling in hand, a small smirk on his face.

…200, 215, 700… She cringed inwardly at the look of those numbers, there was no WAY she’d be able to make the payments on time…and still be able to eat that week. “Oh,” she sighed. Violet walked down the sidewalk, forcing herself to endure the creeping fatigue and dizziness that swam in her mind, leaving a dull, nagging ache in her bones.
